We investigate $gamma p to K^{*+} Lambda$ reaction within a Regge approach. For the gauge invariance of the scattering amplitude, we reggeize the s-channel and contact term amplitudes as well as the $t$-channel amplitude. We obtain the decreasing behavior of the total cross section as the CLASs preliminary data show. We also calculate spin density matrices, and find clear differences between our Regge model and the previous Feynman (isobar) model.

We address the issue of unbiased model selection and propose a methodology based on Bayesian inference to extract physical information from kaon photoproduction $p(gamma,K^+)Lambda$ data. We use the single-channel Regge-plus-resonance (RPR) framework for $p(gamma,K^+)Lambda$ to illustrate the proposed strategy. The Bayesian evidence Z is a quantitative measure for the models fitness given the worlds data. We present a numerical method for performing the multidimensional integrals in the expression for the Bayesian evidence. We use the $p(gamma,K^+)Lambda$ data with an invariant energy W > 2.6 GeV in order to constrain the background contributions in the RPR framework with Bayesian inference. Next, the resonance information is extracted from the analysis of differential cross sections, single and double polarization observables. This background and resonance content constitutes the basis of a model which is coined RPR-2011. It is shown that RPR-2011 yields a comprehensive account of the kaon photoproduction data and provides reasonable predictions for $p(e,e K^+)Lambda$ observables.
A model for a Regge trajectory compatible with the threshold behavior required by unitarity and asymptotics in agreement with analyticity constraints is given in explicit form. The model is confronted in the time-like region with widths and masses of the mesonic resonances and, in the space-like region, the $rho$ trajectory is compared with predictions derived from $pi-N$ charge-exchange reaction. Breaking of the exchange degeneracy is studied in the model and its effect on both the masses and widths is determined.
We present a Regge-inspired effective-Lagrangian framework for kaon photoproduction from the deuteron. Quasi-free kaon production is investigated using the Regge-plus-resonance (RPR) elementary operator within the relativistic plane-wave impulse appr oximation. The RPR model was developed to describe photoinduced and electroinduced charged-kaon production off protons. We show how this elementary operator can be transformed in order to account for the production of neutral kaons from both protons and neutrons. The model results for kaon photoproduction from the deuteron compare favourably to the 2H(g,K)YN data published to date.
To learn about a physical system of interest, experimental results must be able to discriminate among models. We introduce a geometrical measure to quantify the distance between models for pseudoscalar-meson photoproduction in amplitude space. Experi mental observables, with finite accuracy, map to probability distributions in amplitude space, and the characteristic width scale of such distributions needs to be smaller than the distance between models if the observable data are going to be useful. We therefore also introduce a method for evaluating probability distributions in amplitude space that arise as a result of one or more measurements, and show how one can use this to determine what further measurements are going to be necessary to be able to discriminate among models.
Systematic analysis of available data for $omega$-meson photoproduction is given in frame of Regge theory. At photon energies above 20 GeV the $gamma{+}p{to}omega{+}p$ reaction is entirely dominated by Pomeron exchange. However, it was found that Pom eron exchange model can not reproduce the $gamma{+}p{to}rho{+}p$ and $gamma{+}p{to}omega{+}p$ data at high energies simultaneously with the same set of parameters. The comparison between $rho$ and $omega$ data indicates a large room for meson exchange contribution to $omega$-meson photoproduction at low energies. It was found that at low energies the dominant contribution comes from $pi$ and $f_2$-meson exchanges. There is smooth transition between the meson exchange model at low energies and Regge theory at high energies.
