We report an extension of charged kaon transverse momentum ($p_T$) spectra at mid-rapidity ($mid ymid <$ 0.5) up to 15 GeV/$c$, neutral kaon $p_T$ spectra up to 12 GeV/$c$ using events triggered by the Barrel Electro-Magnetic Calorimeter (BEMC) from p+p collisions at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV. The $K^{pm}/pi^{pm}$ and $K^{0}/pi^{pm}$ at high $p_T$ are compared in p+p and Au+Au collisions, and nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$)for pion, kaon, proton and rho are discussed. The $R_{AA}$ for kaon in central collisions are consistent with theory calculation having jet conversion in a plasma of quarks and gluons.

We report results on J/psi-hadron azimuthal angular correlations in 200 GeV p+p collision in the STAR experiment at RHIC. The extracted B-hadron feed-down contribution to inclusive J/psi yield is found to be 10-25% in 4<p_T<12 GeV/c and has no signif icant center-of-mass energy dependence from RHIC to LHC. The p_T spectrum of charged hadron associated with high-p_T J/psi triggers on the away side is found to be consistent with that from di-hadron correlations. J/psi signal from partially produced Au+Au 39 GeV data will also be presented to demonstrate STARs J/psi capability at RHIC low energy run.
New data on the production of charged kaons in p+p interactions are presented. The data come from a sample of 4.8 million inelastic events obtained with the NA49 detector at the CERN SPS at 158 GeV/c beam momentum. The kaons are identified by energy loss in a large TPC tracking system. Inclusive invariant cross sections are obtained in intervals from 0 to 1.7 GeV/c in transverse momentum and from 0 to 0.5 in Feynman x. Using these data as a reference, a new evaluation of the energy dependence of kaon production, including neutral kaons, is conducted over a range from 3 GeV to p+anti-p collider energies.
Precise knowledge of hadron production rates in the generation of neutrino beams is necessary for accelerator-based neutrino experiments to achieve their physics goals. NA61/SHINE, a large-acceptance hadron spectrometer, has recorded hadron+nucleus i nteractions relevant to ongoing and future long-baseline neutrino experiments at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. This paper presents three analyses of interactions of 60 GeV/$c$ $pi^+$ with thin, fixed carbon and beryllium targets. Integrated production and inelastic cross sections were measured for both of these reactions. In an analysis of strange, neutral hadron production, differential production multiplicities of $K^0_{S}$, $Lambda$ and anti-$Lambda$ were measured. Lastly, in an analysis of charged hadron production, differential production multiplicities of $pi^+$, $pi^-$, $K^+$, $K^-$ and protons were measured. These measurements will enable long-baseline neutrino experiments to better constrain predictions of their neutrino flux in order to achieve better precision on their neutrino cross section and oscillation measurements.
This paper presents several measurements of total production cross sections and total inelastic cross sections for the following reactions: $pi^{+}$+C, $pi^{+}$+Al, $K^{+}$+C, $K^{+}$+Al at 60 GeV/c, $pi^{+}$+C and $pi^{+}$+Al at 31 GeV/c . The measu rements were made using the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS. Comparisons with previous measurements are given and good agreement is seen. These interaction cross sections measurements are a key ingredient for neutrino flux prediction from the reinteractions of secondary hadrons in current and future accelerator-based long-baseline neutrino experiments.
We present particle spectra for charged hadrons $pi^pm, K^pm, p$ and $bar{p}$ from pp collisions at $sqrt{s}=200$ GeV measured for the first time at forward rapidities (2.95 and 3.3). The kinematics of these measurements are skewed in a way that prob es the small momentum fraction in one of the protons and large fractions in the other. Large proton to pion ratios are observed at values of transverse momentum that extend up to 4 GeV/c, where protons have momenta up to 35 GeV. Next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculations describe the production of pions and kaons well at these rapidities, but fail to account for the large proton yields and small $bar{p}/p$ ratios.
