The theoretical interpretation of measurements of wavefunctions and spectra in electromagnetic cavities excited by antennas is considered. Assuming that the characteristic wavelength of the field inside the cavity is much larger than the radius of the antenna, we describe antennas as point-like perturbations. This approach strongly simplifies the problem reducing the whole information on the antenna to four effective constants. In the framework of this approach we overcame the divergency of series of the phenomenological scattering theory and justify assumptions lying at the heart of wavefunction measurements. This selfconsistent approach allowed us to go beyond the one-pole approximation, in particular, to treat the experiments with degenerated states. The central idea of the approach is to introduce ``renormalized Green function, which contains the information on boundary reflections and has no singularity inside the cavity.

The nonlinear Hall effect is an unconventional response, in which a voltage can be driven by two perpendicular currents in the Hall-bar measurement. Unprecedented in the family of the Hall effects, it can survive time-reversal symmetry but is sensiti ve to the breaking of discrete and crystal symmetries. It is a quantum transport phenomenon that has deep connection with the Berry curvature. However, a full quantum description is still absent. Here we construct a quantum theory of the nonlinear Hall effect by using the diagrammatic technique. Quite different from nonlinear optics, nearly all the diagrams account for the disorder effects, which play decisive role in the electronic transport. After including the disorder contributions in terms of the Feynman diagrams, the total nonlinear Hall conductivity is enhanced but its sign remains unchanged for the 2D tilted Dirac model, compared to the one with only the Berry curvature contribution. We discuss the symmetry of the nonlinear conductivity tensor and predict a pure disorder-induced nonlinear Hall effect for point groups $C_{3}$, $C_{3h}$, $C_{3v}$, $D_{3h}$, $D_{3}$ in 2D, and $T$, $T_{d}$, $C_{3h}$, $D_{3h}$ in 3D. This work will be helpful for explorations of the topological physics beyond the linear regime.

We derive a general and simple expression for the time-dependence of the position operator of a multi-band Hamiltonian with arbitrary matrix elements depending only on the momentum of the quasi-particle. Our result shows that in such systems the Zitt erbewegung like term related to a trembling motion of the quasi-particle, always appears in the position operator. Moreover, the Zitterbewegung is, in general, a multi-frequency oscillatory motion of the quasi-particle. We derive a few different expressions for the amplitude of the oscillatory motion including that related to the Berry connection matrix. We present several examples to demonstrate how general and versatile our result is.
We develop a theory of the quasi-static electrodynamic Greens function of deep subwavelength optical cavities containing an hyperbolic medium. We apply our theory to one-dimensional cavities realized using an hexagonal boron nitride and a patterned metallic substrate.

We develop a systematic theory of microwave-induced oscillations in magnetoresistivity of a 2D electron gas in the vicinity of fractional harmonics of the cyclotron resonance, observed in recent experiments. We show that in the limit of well-separate d Landau levels the effect is dominated by a change of the distribution function induced by multiphoton processes. At moderate magnetic field, a single-photon mechanism originating from the microwave-induced sidebands in the density of states of disorder-broadened Landau levels becomes important.
We begin the development of structure theory for a first order theory stable over a monadic predicate.
