We study the CP-violating terms of the spin-spin correlations in chargino production e+e- -> chi^+/-_1 chi^-/+_2, and their subsequent two-body decays into sneutrinos plus leptons. We propose novel CP-sensitive observables with the help of T-odd products of the spin-spin terms. These terms depend on the polarizations of both charginos, with one polarization perpendicular to the production plane. We identify two classes of CP-sensitive observables; one requires the reconstruction of the production plane, the other not. Our framework is the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters.

As part of a programme to develop parton showers with controlled logarithmic accuracy, we consider the question of collinear spin correlations within the PanScales family of parton showers. We adapt the well-known Collins-Knowles spin-correlation alg orithm to PanScales antenna and dipole showers, using an approach with similarities to that taken by Richardson and Webster. To study the impact of spin correlations, we develop Lund-declustering based observables that are sensitive to spin-correlation effects both within and between jets and extend the MicroJets collinear single-logarithmic resummation code to include spin correlations. Together with a 3-point energy correlation observable proposed recently by Chen, Moult and Zhu, this provides a powerful set of constraints for validating the logarithmic accuracy of our shower results. The new observables and their resummation further open the pathway to phenomenological studies of these important quantum mechanical effects.
We study CP violation in chargino production and decay in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with complex parameters at an e^+ e^- linear collider with longitudinally polarized beams. We investigate CP-sensitive asymmetries by means of triple product correlations and study their dependence on the complex parameters M_1 and mu. We give numerical predictions for the asymmetries and their measurability at the future International Linear Collider. Our results show that the CP asymmetries can be measured in a large region of the MSSM parameter space.
We present the full O(alpha_s) longitudinal spin-spin correlations for heavy-quark pair production at e+ e- high-energy colliders in closed analytical form. In such reactions, quark and antiquark have strongly correlated spins, and the longitudinal c omponents are dominant. For the explicit computation of the QCD bremsstrahlung contributions, new phase-space integrals are derived. Explicit numerical estimates are given for t t_bar and b b_bar production. Around the Z-peak, QCD one-loop corrections depolarize the spin-spin asymmetry for bottom quark pairs by approximately -4%. For top pair production, we find at 350GeV a 0.6% increased polarization over a value of 0.4 in the longitudinal correlation. For more than 1 TeV the O(alpha_s) corrections enhance depolarization to -2% in the top-pair case.
We study chargino pair production on the heavy Higgs resonances at a muon collider in the MSSM. At $sqrt{s} approx 350$ GeV cross sections up to 2 pb are reached depending on the supersymmetric scenario and the beam energy spread. The resonances of t he scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons may be separated for $tanbeta <8$. Our aim is to determine the ratio of the chargino couplings to the heavy scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs boson independently of the specific chargino decay characteristics. The precision of the measurement depends on the energy resolution of the muon collider and on the error in the measurement of the cross sections of the non-Higgs channels including an irreducible standard model background. With a high energy resolution the systematic error can be reduced to the order of a few percent.
We discuss the pair production of charginos in collisions of polarized photons $gammagamma to tilde{chi}_i^+ tilde{chi}_i^-$, ($i=1,2$) and the subsequent leptonic decay of the lighter chargino $tilde{chi}_1^+ to tilde{chi}_1^0 e^+ u_e$ including th e complete spin correlations. Analytical formulae are given for the polarization and the spin-spin correlations of the charginos. Since the production is a pure QED process the decay dynamics can be studied separately. For high energy photons from Compton backscattering of polarized laser pulses off polarized electron beams numerical results are presented for the cross section, the angular distribution and the forward-backward asymmetry of the decay positron. Finally we study the dependence on the gaugino mass parameter $M_1$ and on the sneutrino mass for a gaugino-like MSSM scenario.
