LHC will offer the opportunity of probing the mass scale of the electro-weak symmetry breaking. Thus we expect to uncover direct manifestations of physics beyond the Standard Model, which will raise new questions that may be elucidated by precision m easurements of beauty and charm decays. The LHCb experiment is poised to pursue this ambitious program as soon as LHC turns on. An upgrade to enhance its physics sensitivity by at least one order of magnitude is critical to the completion of this study, as new physics effects may be subtle. A new vertex detector is a crucial element of this project. Important requirements are a radiation resistance up to a fluence of about 10$^{16} n_{eq} {rm cm}^{-2}$, and a front end electronics capable of delivering its event information to the back end receiver boards synchronously with the beam interactions, at 40 MHz.
This contribution to LCWS2016 presents recent developments within the CLICdp collaboration. An updated scenario for the staged operation of CLIC has been published; the accelerator will operate at 380 GeV, 1.5 TeV and 3 TeV. The lowest energy stage i s optimised for precision Higgs and top physics, while the higher energy stages offer extended Higgs and BSM physics sensitivity. The detector models CLIC_SiD and CLIC_ILD have been replaced by a single optimised detector; CLICdet. Performance studies and R&D in technologies to meet the requirements for this detector design are ongoing.
LHCb is one of the four main experiments of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project, which will start at CERN in 2008. The experiment is primarily dedicated to B-Physics and hence requires precise vertex reconstruction. The silicon vertex locator (VE LO) has a single hit precision of better than 10 micron and is used both off-line and in the trigger. These requirements place strict constraints on its alignment. Additional challenges for the alignment arise from the detector being retracted between each fill of the LHC and from its unique circular disc r/phi strip geometry. This paper describes the track based software alignment procedure developed for the VELO. The procedure is primarily based on a non-iterative method using a matrix inversion technique. The procedure is demonstrated with simulated events to be fast, robust and to achieve a suitable alignment precision.

The CMS experiment at the LHC includes a hybrid silicon pixel detector for the reconstruction of charged tracks and of the interaction vertices. The detector is made of three barrel layers and two disks at each end of the barrel. Detector modules con sist of thin, segmented silicon sensors with highly integrated readout chips connected by the bump bonding technique. In this paper we report on the progress of the detector construction and testing. In addition, first results from the commissioning systems at CERN and PSI are presented.

The Time-Of-Propagation (TOP) counter is a novel device for particle identification for the barrel region of the Belle II experiment, where, information of Cherenkov light propagation time is used to reconstruct its ring image. We successfully finish ed the detector production and installation to the Belle II structure in 2016. Commissioning of the installed detector has been on going, where the detector operation in the 1.5-T magnetic field was studied. Although we found a problem where photomultipliers were mechanically moved due to the magnetic force, it was immediately fixed. Performance was evaluated with cosmic ray data, the number of photon hits were confirmed to be consistent with simulation within 15-30%.
