The level density at low spin in the 161,162-Dy and 171,172-Yb nuclei has been extracted from primary gamma rays. The nuclear heat capacity is deduced within the framework of the canonical ensemble. The heat capacity exhibits an S-formed shape as a function of temperature, which is interpreted as a fingerprint of the phase transition from a strongly correlated to an uncorrelated phase. The critical temperature for the quenching of pair correlations is found at Tc=0.50(4) MeV.
We present three-particle mixed-harmonic correlations $la cos (mphi_a + nphi_b - (m+n) phi_c)ra$ for harmonics $m,n=1-3$ for charged particles in $sqrt{s_{NN}}=$200 GeV Au+Au collisions at RHIC. These measurements provide information on the three-dim
Low-spin states of 157Dy have been studied using the JUROGAM II array, following the 155Gd ({alpha}, 2n) reaction at a beam energy of 25 MeV. The level scheme of 157Dy has been expanded with four new bands. Rotational structures built on the [523]5/2
The interaction of an E/A=70 - MeV 7Be beam with a Be target was used to populate levels in 6Be following neutron knockout reactions. The three-body decay of the ground and first excited states into the alpha+p+p exit channel were detected in the Hig
The critical behavior for the light nuclei with A$sim 36$ has been investigated experimentally by the NIMROD multi-detectors. The wide variety of observables indicate the critical point has been reached in the disassembly of hot nuclei at an excitation energy of 5.6$pm$0.5 MeV/u.
We present measurements of three-particle correlations for various harmonics in Au+Au collisions at energies ranging from $sqrt{s_{{rm NN}}}=7.7$ to 200 GeV using the STAR detector. The quantity $langlecos(mphi_1+nphi_2-(m+n)phi_3)rangle$ is evaluate
