Invariant mass spectra of e+e- pairs have been measured in 12 GeV p+A reactions to detect possible in-medium modification of vector mesons. Copper and carbon targets are used to study the nuclear-size dependence of e+e- invariant mass distributions. A significant excess on the low-mass side of the phi meson peak is observed in the low beta gamma (=beta/sqrt(1-beta^2)) region of phi mesons (beta gamma < 1.25) with copper targets. However, in the high beta gamma region (beta gamma > 1.25), spectral shapes of phi mesons are well described by the Breit-Wigner shape when experimental effects are considered. Thus, in addition to our earlier publication on rho / omega modification, this study has experimentally verified vector meson mass modification at normal nuclear density.

The photo production of $omega$ mesons on the nuclei C, Ca, Nb and Pb has been measured using the Crystal Barrel/TAPS detector at the ELSA tagged photon facility in Bonn. The dependence of the $omega$ meson cross section on the nuclear mass number ha s been compared with three different types of models, a Glauber analysis, a BUU analysis of the Giessen theory group and a calculation by the Valencia theory group. In all three cases, the inelastic $omega$ width is found to be $130-150 rm{MeV/c^2}$ at normal nuclear matter density for an average 3-momentum of 1.1 GeV/c. In the restframe of the $omega$ meson, this inelastic $omega$ width corresponds to a reduction of the $omega$ lifetime by a factor $approx 30$. For the first time, the momentum dependent $omega$N cross section has been extracted from the experiment and is in the range of 70 mb.

We have measured invariant mass spectra of electron-positron pairs in the target rapidity region of 12GeV p+A reactions. We have observed a significant difference in the mass spectra below the $omega$ meson between p+C and p+Cu interactions. The diff erence is interpreted as a signature of the $rho/omega$ modification at normal nuclear-matter density.
The production of phi mesons in the collisions of 2.83 GeV protons with C, Cu, Ag, and Au at forward angles has been measured via the phi -> K+K- decay using the COSY-ANKE magnetic spectrometer. The phi meson production cross section follows a target mass dependence of A^0.56+/-0.02 in the momentum region of 0.6-1.6 GeV/c. The comparison of the data with model calculations suggests that the in-medium phi width is about an order of magnitude larger than its free value.

The invariant mass spectra of $phi to K^{+}K^{-}$ are measured in 12 GeV $p+A$ reactions in order to search for the in-medium modification of $phi$ mesons. The observed $K^{+}K^{-}$ spectra are well reproduced by the relativistic Breit-Wigner functio n with a combinatorial background shape in three $betagamma$ regions between 1.0 and 3.5. The nuclear mass-number dependence of the yields of the $K^{+}K^{-}$ decay channel is compared to the simultaneously measured $e^{+}e^{-}$ decay channel for carbon and copper targets. We parameterize the production yields as $sigma (A) = sigma_0 times A^alpha$ and obtain $alpha_{phito K^+K^-} - alpha_{phito e^+e^-}$ to be 0.14 $pm$ 0.12. Limits are obtained for the partial decay widths of $phi$ mesons in nuclear matter.

We present phi-meson transverse momentum distribution as well as its elliptic flow (v_{2}) measurements in Au + Au collisions at center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sqrt{s_{NN}} = 7.7, 11.5 and 39 GeV with the data taken from STAR experiment at RH IC in the year 2010. We discuss the energy dependence of phi-meson elliptic flow (v_{2}) and central-to-peripheral nuclear modification factors (R_{CP}). The v_{2} of phi-mesons are compared to those from other hadron species. The implications on partonic-hadronic phase transition are discussed.
