A multi-detector array has been constructed for the simultaneous measurement of energy- and angular correlation of electron-positron pairs produced in internal pair conversion (IPC) of nuclear transitions up to 18 MeV. The response functions of the individual detectors have been measured with mono-energetic beams of electrons. Experimental results obtained with 1.6 MeV protons on targets containing $^{11}$B and $^{19}$F show clear IPC over a wide angular range. A comparison with GEANT simulations demonstrates that angular correlations of $e^+e^-$ pairs of transitions in the energy range between 6 and 18 MeV can be determined with sufficient resolution and efficiency to search for deviations from IPC due to the creation and subsequent decay into $e^+e^-$ of a hypothetical short-lived neutral boson.
Cosmic Ray and neutrino oscillation physics can be studied by using atmospheric neutrinos. JUNO (Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory) is a large liquid scintillator detector with low energy detection threshold and excellent energy resolution. T
Superconducting niobium cavity technology (used for ILC) makes it possible to build a linear collider with energy recovery (ERLC). To avoid parasitic collisions inside the linacs a twin LC is proposed. In this article, we consider the principle schem
We present the combined results on electron-pair production in 158 GeV/n {Pb-Au} ($sqrt{s}$= 17.2 GeV) collisions taken at the CERN SPS in 1995 and 1996, and give a detailed account of the data analysis. The enhancement over the reference of neutral
The pseudorapidity density (dN/deta) for p+p, p+A and A+A(B) collisions, and the mean multiplicity <Nch> for ee, ep, and p+p collisions, are studied for an inclusive range of beam energies (Root_s). Characteristic scaling patterns are observed for bo
Results of the SND experiment at the VEPP-2M e+ e- collider on the QED processes e+ e- --> e+ e- gamma and e+ e- --> e+ e- gamma gamma with production at large angles are presented. Energy and angular distributions of the final particles were studied
