We have measured the cross sections and analyzing powers Ay and Ayy for the elastic and inelastic scattering of deuterons from the 0+(g.s.), 2+(4.44 MeV), 3-(9.64 MeV), 1+(12.71 MeV), and 2-(18.3 MeV) states in 12C at an incident energy of 270 MeV. The data are compared with microscopic distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations where the projectile-nucleon effective interactionis taken from the three-nucleon t-matrix given by rigorous Faddeev calculations presently available at intermediate energies. The agreement between theory and data compares well with that for the (p,p) reactions at comparable incident energies/nucleon.

The data on the tensor Ayy, Axx, Axz and vector Ay analyzing powers in the dd->3Hen obtained at Td= 270 MeV in the angular range 0 - 110 degrees in the c.m. are presented. The observed negative sign of the tensor analyzing powers Ayy, Axx and Axz at small angles clearly demonstrate the sensitivity to the ratio of the D and S wave component of the 3He wave function. However, the one-nucleon exchange calculations by using the standard 3He wave functions have failed to reproduce the strong variation of the tensor analyzing powers as a function of the angle in the c.m.

The deuteron single and double spin-flip probabilities, S1 and S2, have been measured for the 12C(pol{d},pol{d}) reaction at Ed = 270 MeV for an excitation energy range between 4 and 24 MeV and a scattering angular range between Theta_lab = 2.5 and 7 .5 deg. The extracted S1 exhibits characteristic values depending on the structure of the excited state. The S2 is close to zero over the measured excitation energy range. The SFP angular distribution data for the 2+ (4.44 MeV) and 1+ (12.71 MeV) states are well described by the microscopic DWIA calculations.
Dissipative 12C+12C reactions at 95 MeV are fully detected in charge with the GARFIELD and RCo apparatuses at LNL. A comparison to a dedicated Hauser-Feshbach calculation allows to select events which correspond, to a large extent, to the statistical evaporation of highly excited 24Mg, as well as to extract information on the isotopic distribution of the evaporation residues in coincidence with their complete evaporation chain. Residual deviations from a statistical behaviour are observed in alpha yields and attributed to the persistence of cluster correlations well above the 24Mg threshold for 6 alphas decay.

Measurements of the t-t and p-t coincidence events in the $^3$H ($alpha$, ttp) reaction have been obtained at $E_alpha$ incident energy of 67.2 MeV. Various appropriate angular configurations of detectors were chosen in order to observe the populatio n of the $^6$He$^*$ state at around 18 MeV. Its contribution appears at the $E_{rm tt}$ relative energy of 6.0 MeV by the analysis of bidimensional spectra. We found the formation of the $^6$He excited state at $E^* = 18.3 pm 0.2$ MeV (with a $Gamma$ width of 1.1 $pm$ 0.3 MeV) by the decay into the t+t binary channel, since the threshold energy of the t+t channel is 12.31 MeV. In each analyzed bidimensional energy spectrum of ($E_{rm t}$, $E_{rm t}$) and ($E_{rm p}$, $E_{rm t}$) coincidence events resonance structures are present due to the formation of both $^6$He$^*$ and $^4$He$^*$ excited states. Our results on the $E^*$ and $Gamma$ values regarding the $^6$He$^*$ level of about 18 MeV are compared with the results obtained by other reactions. Moreover, we also found new $Gamma$ width values of 0.7 $pm$ 0.3 and 0.8 $pm$ 0.4 MeV for the 14.0 $pm$ 0.4 and 16.1 $pm$ 0.4 MeV $^6$He levels, respectively.
A deuteron beam polarimeter has been constructed at the Internal Target Station at the Nuclotron of JINR. The polarimeter is based on spin-asymmetry measurements in the d-p elastic scattering at large angles and the deuteron kinetic energy of 270 M eV. It allows to measure vector and tensor components of the deuteron beam polarization simultaneously.
