Given a Lie group $G$ we study the class $M$ of proper metrizable $G$-spaces with metrizable orbit spaces, and show that any $G$-space $X in M$ admits a closed $G$-embedding into a convex $G$-subset $C$ of some locally convex linear $G$-space, such that $X$ has some $G$-neighborhood in $C$ which belongs to the class $M$. As corollaries we see that any $G$-ANE for $M$ has the $G$-homotopy type of some $G$-CW complex and that any $G$-ANR for $M$ is a $G$-ANE for $M$.

We prove that each metrizable space (of cardinality less or equal to continuum) has a (first countable) uniform Eberlein compactification and each scattered metrizable space has a scattered hereditarily paracompact compactification. Each compact scat tered hereditarily paracompact space is uniform Eberlein and belongs to the smallest class of compact spaces, that contain the empty set, the singleton, and is closed under producing the Aleksandrov compactification of the topological sum of a family of compacta from that class.
Given a dynamical system $(X,f)$, we let $E(X,f)$ denote its Ellis semigroup and $E(X,f)^* = E(X,f) setminus {f^n : n in mathbb{N}}$. We analyze the Ellis semigroup of a dynamical system having a compact metric countable space as a phase space. We sh ow that if $(X,f)$ is a dynamical system such that $X$ is a compact metric countable space and every accumulation point $X$ is periodic, then either each function of $E(X,f)^*$ is continuous or each function of $E(X,f)^*$ is discontinuous. We describe an example of a dynamical system $(X,f)$ where $X$ is a compact metric countable space, the orbit of each accumulation point is finite and $E(X,f)^*$ contains continuous and discontinuous functions.
In this paper, we first define the concept of convexity in G-metric spaces. We then use Mann iterative process in this newly defined convex G-metric space to prove some convergence results for some classes of mappings. In this way, we can extend seve ral existence results to those approximating fixed points. Our results are just new in the setting.
This thesis consists of two main parts. In the second part, we recall how a description of local coefficients that Eilenberg introduced in the 1940s leads to spectral sequences for the computation of homology and cohomology with local coefficients. W e then show how to construct new equivariant analogues of these spectral sequences for RO(G)-graded Bredon homology and cohomology. Finally, we use these spectral sequences to complete a sample calculation, in which we use the equivariant Serre spectral sequence and the equivariant cohomology of complex projective spaces to compute the cohomology of the equivariant classifying space B_Cp O(2). However, to complete this sample computation, we need to know the cohomology of complex projective space. This calculation was done in a 1988 paper by Gaunce Lewis, but relies on a theorem whose proof as given was incorrect. We spend the first part of this thesis providing a correct proof and summarizing the results of Lewiss paper.
We show a Z^2-filtered algebraic structure and a quantum to classical principle on the torus-equivariant quantum cohomology of a complete flag variety of general Lie type, generalizing earlier works of Leung and the second author. We also provide var ious applications on equivariant quantum Schubert calculus, including an equivariant quantum Pieri rule for any partial flag variety of Lie type A.
