We generally investigate the scalar field model with the lagrangian $L=F(X)-V(phi)$, which we call it {it General Non-Canonical Scalar Field Model}. We find that it is a special square potential(with a negative minimum) that drives the linear field solution($phi=phi_0t$) while in K-essence model(with the lagrangian $L=-V(phi)F(X)$) the potential should be taken as an inverse square form. Hence their cosmological evolution are totally different. We further find that this linear field solutions are highly degenerate, and their cosmological evolutions are actually equivalent to the divergent model where its sound speed diverges. We also study the stability of the linear field solution. With a simple form of $F(X)=1-sqrt{1-2X}$ we indicate that our model may be considered as a unified model of dark matter and dark energy. Finally we study the case when the baryotropic index $gamma$ is constant. It shows that, unlike the K-essence, the detailed form of F(X) depends on the potential $V(phi)$. We analyze the stability of this constant $gamma_0$ solution and find that they are stable for $gamma_0leq1$. Finally we simply consider the constant c_s^2 case and get an exact solution for F(X)

We consider how the swampland criteria might be applied to models in which scalar fields have nontrivial kinetic terms, particularly in the context of $P(phi,X)$ theories, popularly used in approaches to inflation, to its alternatives, and to the pro blem of late-time cosmic acceleration. By embedding such theories in canonical multi-field models, from which the original theory emerges as a low-energy effective field theory, we derive swampland constraints, and study the circumstances under which these might be evaded while preserving cosmologically interesting phenomenology. We further demonstrate how these successes are tied to the phenomenon of turning in field space in the multi-field picture. We study both the general problem and specific examples of particular interest, such as DBI inflation.
While no-hair theorems forbid isolated black holes from possessing permanent moments beyond their mass, electric charge, and angular momentum, research over the past two decades has demonstrated that a black hole interacting with a time-dependent bac kground scalar field will gain an induced scalar charge. In this paper, we study this phenomenon from an effective field theory (EFT) perspective. We employ a novel approach to constructing the effective point-particle action for the black hole by integrating out a set of composite operators localized on its worldline. This procedure, carried out using the in-in formalism, enables a systematic accounting of both conservative and dissipative effects associated with the black holes horizon at the level of the action. We show that the induced scalar charge is inextricably linked to accretion of the background environment, as both effects stem from the same parent term in the effective action. The charge, in turn, implies that a black hole can radiate scalar waves and will also experience a fifth force. Our EFT correctly reproduces known results in the literature for massless scalars, but now also generalizes to massive real scalar fields, allowing us to consider a wider range of scenarios of astrophysical interest. As an example, we use our EFT to study the early inspiral of a black hole binary embedded in a fuzzy dark matter halo.
We derive a general exact form of the phase space distribution function and the thermal expectation values of local operators for the free quantum scalar field at equilibrium with rotation and acceleration in flat space-time without solving field equ ations in curvilinear coordinates. After factorizing the density operator with group theoretical methods, we obtain the exact form of the phase space distribution function as a formal series in thermal vorticity through an iterative method and we calculate thermal expectation values by means of analytic continuation techniques. We separately discuss the cases of pure rotation and pure acceleration and derive analytic results for the stress-energy tensor of the massless field. The expressions found agree with the exact analytic solutions obtained by solving the field equation in suitable curvilinear coordinates for the two cases at stake and already - or implicitly - known in literature. In order to extract finite values for the pure acceleration case we introduce the concept of analytic distillation of a complex function. For the massless field, the obtained expressions of the currents are polynomials in the acceleration/temperature ratios which vanish at $2pi$, in full accordance with the Unruh effect.
Some exact solutions for the Einstein field equations corresponding to inhomogeneous $G_2$ cosmologies with an exponential-potential scalar field which generalize solutions obtained previously are considered. Several particular cases are studied and the properties related to generalized inflation and asymptotic behaviour of the models are discussed.

In this paper we revisit the dynamical dark energy model building based on single scalar field involving higher derivative terms. By imposing a degenerate condition on the higher derivatives in curved spacetime, one can select the models which are fr ee from the ghost mode and the equation of state is able to cross the cosmological constant boundary smoothly, dynamically violate the null energy condition. Generally the Lagrangian of this type of dark energy models depends on the second derivatives linearly. It behaves like an imperfect fluid, thus its cosmological perturbation theory needs to be generalized. We also study such a model with explicit form of degenerate Lagrangian and show that its equation of state may cross -1 without any instability.
