We study the kinematic distributions of top--antitop quark pairs produced at the Tevatron, including the effects of initial state and final state multiple soft gluon emission, using the Collins--Soper--Sterman resummation formalism. The resummed results are compared with those predicted by the showering event generator PYTHIA for various distributions involving the top--antitop quark pair and the individual top quark or antiquark. The comparison between the experimental and predicted distributions will be a strong test of our understanding and application of perturbative QCD. Our results indicate that the showering event generators do not produce enough radiation. The resummation of multiple soft gluon emission affects the production rate and kinematic distributions of $W^+h$ (where h is a Higgs boson) and $t bar b$ pairs at the Tevatron with $sqrt{s}=2$ TeV. Using the Collins-Soper-Sterman resummation formali sm, the production rate is enhanced over the next-to-leading-order (NLO) prediction by 2-3% for the $W^+h$ process, for Higgs boson masses between 80-120 GeV, and over 3% for the $tbar b$ process for $m_t=175$ GeV. After resummation, the $tbar b$ rate changes by 12-13% when $m_t$ is varied by $pm 5$ GeV. Various kinematic distributions are presented for the individual final state particles and for the pair. The explicit radiation of hard gluons in NLO QCD is included also for the $tbar b$ final state.
We compute the supersymmetric QCD corrections to the decay distribution of polarized top quarks for the semileptonic decay mode $t(uparrow)to b l^+ u_l$. As a byproduct, we reinvestigate the SUSY-QCD corrections to the total decay width $Gamma(tto W^ +b)$ and resolve a discrepancy between two previous results in the literature.
In this report a new search for a narrow-width heavy resonance decaying into top quark pairs (X -> ttbar) in ppbar collisions at sqrt(s)=1.96 TeV has been performed using data collected by the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The analys is considers ttbar candidate events in the lepton+jets channel using a lifetime tag to identify b-jets and the ttbar invariant mass distribution to search for evidence of resonant production. The analyzed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of approximately 370 pb^-1. Since no evidence for a ttbar resonance X is found, upper limits on sigma(X) x B(X -> ttbar) for different hypothesized resonance masses using a Bayesian approach are set. Within a topcolor-assisted technicolor model, the existence of a leptophobic Z boson with M(Z) < 680 GeV and width Gamma(Z) = 0.012 M(Z) can be excluded at 95% C.L..

This paper reports the most recent measurements of single top quark production performed by CDF and D0 collaborations in proton-antiproton collisions at Tevatron. Events are selected in the lepton+jets final state by CDF and D0 and in the missing tra nsverse energy plus jets final state by CDF. The small single top signal in s-channel, t-channel and inclusive s+t channel is separated from the large background by using different multivariate techniques. We also present the most recent results on extraction of the CKM matrix element $|V_{tb}|$ from the single top quark cross section.
