Improving previous calculations, we compute the $D + bar{D} to J/psi + pi $ cross section using the most complete effective lagrangians available. The new crucial ingredients are the form factors on the charm meson vertices, which are determined from QCD sum rules calculations. Some of them became available only very recently and the last one, needed for our present purpose, is calculated in this work.

We calculate the leading order cross section for the associated production of Z and J/{psi}. Processes that include associated production of electroweak bosons and heavy quarlonium can give valuable insight to the production mechanism of quarkonia. W e conclude that this process is accessible by the LHC statistics.

In this paper, we calculate the $B_cto J/psi$ helicity form factors (HFFs) up to twist-4 accuracy by using the light-cone sum rules approach. After extrapolating those HFFs to the physically allowable $q^2$ region, we investigate the $B^+_c$-meson tw o-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ to J/psi+(P, V, ell^+ u_ell)$, where $P$ and $V$ stand for a light pseudo-scalar meson and a vector meson, respectively. The branching fractions can be derived by using the CKM matrix element and the $B_c$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, and we obtain ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi pi^+)=(0.132^{+0.002}_{-0.002})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi K^+)=(0.010^{+0.000}_{-0.000})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi rho^+) =(0.755^{+0.030}_{-0.034})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi K^{ast +})=(0.043^{+0.001}_{-0.001})%$, ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi mu^+ u_mu)=(2.808^{+0.547}_{-0.704})%$ and ${cal B}(B_c^+ to J/psi tau^+ u_tau)=(0.563^{+0.137}_{-0.178})%$. We then obtain ${cal R}_{pi^+/mu^+ u_mu} = 0.047^{+ 0.009}_{-0.012}$ and ${cal R}_{K^+ / pi^+} = 0.075^{+0.005}_{-0.005}$, which agree with the LHCb measured value within $1sigma$-error. We also obtain ${cal R}_{J/psi}=0.200^{+ 0.062}_{-0.081}$, which like other theoretical predictions, are consistent with the LHCb measured value within $2sigma$-error.
An updated determination is presented of the electric and magnetic form factors of the proton, in the framework of a dual-model realization of QCD in the limit of an infinite number of colors. Very good agreement with data is obtained in the space-li ke region up to $ q^2 simeq - ,30 ,{GeV}^2$. In particular, the ratio $mu_P , G_E(q^2) / G_M(q^2)$ is predicted in very good agreement with recoil polarization measurements from Jefferson Lab, up to $q^2 simeq - 8.5 ,{GeV}^2$. end{abstract}
We consider the J/psi photo-production data collected at HERA in the light of next-to-leading order predictions for the color-singlet yield and polarization. We find that, while the shapes of inclusive distributions in the transverse momentum and ine lasticity are well reproduced, the experimental rates are larger than those given by the color-singlet contribution alone. Furthermore, the next-to-leading order calculation predicts the J/psis to be mostly longitudinally polarized at high transverse momentum in contrast with the trend of the preliminary data from the ZEUS collaboration.

The PHENIX experiment has measured the spin alignment for inclusive $J/psirightarrow e^{+}e^{-}$ decays in $p$+$p$ collisions at $sqrt{s}=510$ GeV at midrapidity. The angular distributions have been measured in three different polarization frames, an d the three decay angular coefficients have been extracted in a full two-dimensional analysis. Previously, PHENIX saw large longitudinal net polarization at forward rapidity at the same collision energy. This analysis at midrapidity, complementary to the previous PHENIX results, sees no sizable polarization in the measured transverse momentum range of $0.0<p_T<10.0$ GeV/$c$. The results are consistent with a previous one-dimensional analysis at midrapidity at $sqrt{s}=200$ GeV. The transverse-momentum-dependent cross section for midrapidity $J/psi$ production has additionally been measured, and after comparison to world data we find a simple logarithmic dependence of the cross section on $sqrt{s}$.
