Radiative corrections to the charged current Drell-Yan processes are revisited. Complete one-loop electroweak corrections are calculated within the automatic SANC system. Electroweak scheme dependence and the choice of the factorization scale are discussed. Comparisons with earlier calculations are presented.

In the paper we present results for final state emissions of lepton pairs in decays of heavy intermediate states such as Z boson. Short presentations of PHOTOS and SANC algorithms and physics assumptions are given. Numerical distributions of relevanc e for LHC observables are shown. They are used in discussions of systematic errors in the predictions of pair emissions as implemented in the two programs. Suggestions for the future works are given. Present results confirm, that for the precision of 0.3% level, in simulation of final state the pair emissions can be avoided. For the precision of 0.1-0.2%, the results obtained with the presented programs should be enough. To cross precision tag of 0.1%, the further work is however required.
We present the production cross section for a lepton-neutrino pair at the Large Hadron Collider computed at next-to-next-to-next-to leading order (N3LO) in QCD perturbation theory. We compute the partonic coefficient functions of a virtual $W^{pm}$ b oson at this order. We then use these analytic functions to study the progression of the perturbative series in different observables. In particular, we investigate the impact of the newly obtained corrections on the inclusive production cross section of $W^{pm}$ bosons, as well as on the ratios of the production cross sections for $W^+$, $W^-$ and/or a virtual photon. Finally, we present N3LO predictions for the charge asymmetry at the LHC.
We present the full next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) corrections to the coefficient function for the polarized cross section $d Deltasigma/d Q$ of the Drell-Yan process. We study the effect of these corrections on the process $p+pto l^+l^-+`X$ at an C.M. energy $sqrt{S}=200 GeV$. All QCD partonic subprocesses have been included provided the lepton pair is created by a virtual photon, which is a valid approximation for a lepton pair invariant mass $Q<50 GeV$. For this reaction the dominant subprocess is given by $q+bar qto gamma^*+`X$ and its higher order corrections so that it provides us with an excellent tool to measure the polarized sea-quark densities.
The relevance of single-W and single-Z production processes at hadron colliders is well known: in the present paper the status of theoretical calculations of Drell-Yan processes is summarized and some results on the combination of electroweak and QCD corrections to a sample of observables of the process $p p to W^pm to mu^pm + X$ at the LHC are discussed. The phenomenological analysis shows that a high-precision knowledge of QCD and a careful combination of electroweak and strong contributions is mandatory in view of the anticipated LHC experimental accuracy. One of the authors (O.N.) dedicates these notes to Prof. S. Jadach, in honour of his 60th birthday and grateful for all that Prof. Jadach taught him during their fruitful collaboration.
We compute the nuclear corrections to the proton-deuteron Drell-Yan cross section for inclusive dilepton production, which, when combined with the proton-proton cross section, is used to determine the flavor asymmetry in the proton sea, dbar - ubar. In addition to nuclear smearing corrections that are known to be important at large values of the nucleons parton momentum fraction x_N, we also consider dynamical off-shell nucleon corrections associated with the modifications of the bound nucleon structure inside the deuteron, which we find to be significant at intermediate and large x_N values. We also provide estimates of the nuclear corrections at kinematics corresponding to existing and planned Drell-Yan experiments at Fermilab and J-PARC which aim to determine the dbar/ubar ratio for x < 0.6.
