Many models that include small extra space dimensions predict graviton states which are well separated in mass, and which can be detected as resonances in collider experiments. It has been shown that the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider can identify such narrow states up to a mass of 2080 GeV in the decay mode G->ee, using a conservative model. This work extends the study of the ee channel over the full accessible parameter space, and shows that the reach could extend as high as 3.5 TeV. It then discusses ways in which the expected universal coupling of the resonance can be confirmed using other decay modes. In particular, the mode G-> di-photons is shown to be measurable with good precision, which would provide powerful confirmation of the graviton hypothesis. The decays G-> mu mu, WW, ZZ and jet--jet are measurable over a more limited range of couplings and masses. Using information from mass and cross-section measurements, the underlying parameters can be extracted. In one test model, the size of the extra dimension can be determined to a precision in length of 7x10^-33 m.

Theories with extra dimensions of inverse TeV size (or larger) predict a multitude of signals which can be searched for at present and future colliders. In this paper, we review the different phenomenological signatures of a particular class of model s, universal extra dimensions, where all matter fields propagate in the bulk. Such models have interesting features, in particular Kaluza-Klein (KK) number conservation, which makes their phenomenology similar to that of supersymmetric theories. Thus, KK excitations of matter are produced in pairs, and decay to a lightest KK particle (LKP), which is stable and weakly interacting, and therefore will appear as missing energy in the detector (similar to a neutralino LSP). Adding gravitational interactions which can break KK number conservation greatly expands the class of possible signatures. Thus, if gravity is the primary cause for the decay of KK excitations of matter, the experimental signals at hadron colliders will be jets + missing energy, which is typical of supergravity models. If the KK quarks and gluons decay first to the LKP, which then decays gravitationally, the experimental signal will be photons and/or leptons (with some jets), which resembles the phenomenology of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking models.
We investigate new physics scenarios where systems comprised of a single top quark accompanied by missing transverse energy, dubbed monotops, can be produced at the LHC. Following a simplified model approach, we describe all possible monotop producti on modes via an effective theory and estimate the sensitivity of the LHC, assuming 20 fb$^{-1}$ of collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, to the observation of a monotop state. Considering both leptonic and hadronic top quark decays, we show that large fractions of the parameter space are reachable and that new physics particles with masses ranging up to 1.5 TeV can leave hints within the 2012 LHC dataset, assuming moderate new physics coupling strengths.
We study the capability of the international linear collider (ILC) to probe extra dimensions via the seesaw mechanism. In the scenario we study, heavy Kaluza-Klein neutrinos generate tiny neutrino masses and, at the same time, have sizable couplings to the standard-model particles. Consequently, a Kaluza-Klein tower of heavy neutrinos (N) can be produced and studied at the ILC through the process: e+e- -> vN followed by N -> Wl decay. We show that the single lepton plus two-jets final states with large missing energy from this signal process will provide a good opportunity to measure the masses and cross sections of Kaluza-Klein neutrinos up to the third level. Furthermore, the neutrino oscillation parameters can be extracted from the flavor dependence of the lowest-mode signals, which give us information about the origin of low-energy neutrino masses.
Recently, a scenario has been proposed in which the gravitational scale could be as low as the TeV scale, and extra dimensions could be large and detectable at the electroweak scale. Although supersymmetry is not a requirement of this scenario, it is nevertheless true that its best-motivated realizations arise in supersymmetric theories (like M theory). We argue here that supersymmetry can have robust, and in some instances fatal, implications for the expected experimental signature for TeV-scale gravity. The signature of the supersymmetric version of the scenario differs most dramatically from what has been considered in the literature because mass splittings within the gravity supermultiplet in these models are extremely small, implying in particular the existence of a very light spin-one superpartner for the graviton. We compute the implications of this graviphoton, and show that it can acquire dimension-four couplings to ordinary matter which can strongly conflict with supernova bounds.

We investigate the prospects for the discovery of massive color-octet vector bosons at the CERN Large Hadron Collider with $sqrt{s} = 14$ TeV. A phenomenological Lagrangian is adopted to evaluate the cross section of a pair of colored vector bosons ( colorons, $tilde{rho}$) decaying into four colored scalar resonances (hyper-pions, $tilde{pi}$), which then decay into eight gluons. We include the dominant physics background from the production of $8g,7g1q, 6g2q$, and $5g3q$, and determine the masses of $tilde{pi}$ and $tilde{rho}$ where discovery is possible. For example, we find that a 5$sigma$ signal can be established for $M_{tilde{pi}} alt 495$ GeV ($M_{tilde{rho}} alt 1650$ GeV). More generally we give the reach of this process for a selection of possible cuts and integrated luminosities.
