The sensitivity of the ATLAS detector to the discovery of a heavy charged Higgs boson is presented. Assuming a heavy SUSY spectrum, the most promising channels above the top quark mass are $H^pmto tb$ and $H^pmtotau^pm u_tau$ which provide coverage in the low and high $tanbeta$ regions up to $sim 600$ GeV. The achievable precisions on the charged Higgs mass and $tanbeta$ determination are also discussed. The $H^pmto W^pm h^0$ channel, though restricted to a small MSSM parameter space, shows a viable signal in NMSSM where the parameter space is less constrained. The observation of the channel $H^-totau^-_L u_tau + c.c.$ may constitute a distinctive evidence for models with singlet neutrinos in large extra dimensions.
At the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), both the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations have been searching for light charged Higgs bosons via top (anti)quark production and decays channels, like $ppto t bar{t}$ with one top (anti)quark decaying into a charged Hig
In this short review we discuss two implementations of the charged Higgs boson production process in association with a top quark in Monte Carlo event generators at next-to-leading order in QCD. We introduce the MC@NLO and the POWHEG method of matchi
The potential for the discovery of a Standard Model Higgs boson in the mass range m_H < 2 m_Z in the vector boson fusion mode has been studied for the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The characteristic signatures of additional jets in the forward region
The charged Higgs boson is quite common in many new physics models. In this study we examine the potential of observing a heavy charged Higgs boson in its decay mode of top-quark and bottom-quark in the Type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model. In this model,
We analyse the phenomenological implications of a light Higgs boson, $h$, within the CP-conserving 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I, for the detection prospects of the charged $H^pm$ state at Run II of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming $sq
