Moments of unpolarized, helicity, and transversity distributions, electromagnetic form factors, and generalized form factors of the nucleon are presented from a preliminary analysis of lattice results using pion masses down to 359 MeV. The twist two matrix elements are calculated using a mixed action of domain wall valence quarks and asqtad staggered sea quarks and are renormalized perturbatively. Several observables are extrapolated to the physical limit using chiral perturbation theory. Results are compared with experimental moments of quark distributions and electromagnetic form factors and phenomenologically determined generalized form factors, and the implications on the transverse structure and spin content of the nucleon are discussed.

With the advent of chiral fermion formulations, the simulation of light valence quarks has finally become realistic for numerical simulations of lattice QCD. The simulation of light dynamical quarks, however, remains one of the major challenges and i s still an obstacle to realistic simulations. We attempt to meet this challenge using a hybrid combination of Asqtad sea quarks and domain-wall valence quarks. Initial results for the proton form factor and the nucleon axial coupling are presented.
In order to advance lattice calculations of moments of unpolarized, helicity, and transversity distributions, electromagnetic form factors, and generalized form factors of the nucleon to a new level of precision, this work investigates several key as pects of precision lattice calculations. We calculate the number of configurations required for constant statistical errors as a function of pion mass, describe the coherent sink method to help achieve these statistics, examine the statistical correlations between separate measurements, study correlations in the behavior of form factors at different momentum transfer, examine volume dependence, and compare mixed action results with those using comparable dynamical domain wall configurations. We also show selected form factor results and comment on the QCD evolution of our calculations of the flavor non-singlet nucleon angular momentum.
We report on our on-going project to calculate the nucleon decay matrix elements with domain-wall fermions. Operator mixing is discussed employing a non-perturbative renormalization. Bare matrix elements of all the possible decay modes induced by the dimension-six operators are calculated with the direct method, which are compared with the indirect calculation using chiral perturbation theory.

We show how the standard domain wall action can be simply modified to allow arbitrarily exact chiral symmetry at finite fifth dimensional extent. We note that the method can be used for both quenched and dynamical calculations. We test the method usi ng smooth and thermalized gauge field configurations. We also make comparisons of the performance (cost) of the domain wall operator for spectroscopy compared to other methods such as the overlap-Dirac operator and find both methods are comparable in cost.
Mixed action lattice QCD with Borici-Creutz valence quarks on staggered sea is investigated. The counter terms in Borici-Creutz action are fixed nonperturbatively to restore the broken parity and time symmetries. On symmetry restoration, the usual si gnatures of partial quenching / unitarity violation like negative scalar correlator are observed. The size of unitarity violation due to different discretization of valence and sea quark is determined by measuring $Delta_{rm mix}$ and is found to be comparable with other mixed action studies.
