The e+e- -> pi+pi-pi+pi- cross section has been measured using 5.8/pb of integrated luminosity collected with the CMD-2 detector at the VEPP-2M collider. Analysis of the data with a refined efficiency determination and use of both three- and four-track events allowed doubling of a data sample and reduction of systematic errors to 5-7%.
We study the process e+e- -> pi+pi-pi+pi-gamma, with a photon emitted from the initial-state electron or positron, using 454.3 fb^-1 of data collected with the BABAR detector at SLAC, corresponding to approximately 260,000 signal events. We use these
data to extract the non-radiative sigma(e+e- ->pi+pi-pi+pi-) cross section in the energy range from 0.6 to 4.5 Gev. The total uncertainty of the cross section measurement in the peak region is less than 3%, higher in precision than the corresponding results obtained from energy scan data.
A cross section of the process $e^+e^- to pipipipi$ has been measured using 6798$pm$93 signal events from a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9.8 pb$^{-1}$ collected with the CMD-3 detector in the center-of-mass energy range 92
0--1060 MeV. The measured cross section exhibits an interference pattern of the $phi(1020)topipipipi$ decay with a non-resonant process $e^+e^- to pipipipi$, from which we obtain the branching fraction of the doubly suppressed decays (by G-parity and OZI rule): $BR(phitopipipipi) = (6.5pm2.7pm1.6)times 10^{-6}$.
The cross section of the process e+e- -> pi+pi- has been measured at the CMD-2 detector in the 370-520 MeV center-of-mass (c.m.) energy range. A systematic uncertainty of the measurement is 0.7 %. Using all CMD-2 data on the pion form factor, the pio
n electromagnetic radius was calculated. The cross section of muon pair production was also determined.
The process $e^+e^- to pi^+pi^-pi^0eta$ is studied in the center-of-mass energy region below 2 GeV with the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. The four intermediate states contribute to this process: $omegaeta$, $phieta$, $a_0(980)rho$,
and a structureless $pi^+pi^-pi^0eta$ state. We measure the total $e^+e^- to pi^+pi^-pi^0eta$ cross section and the cross sections for its components: $omegaeta$, $phieta$, and a sum of $a_0(980)rho$ and the structureless state. Our results are in agreement with previous measurements and have comparable or better accuracies.
The cross section of the process $e^+e^- to 3(pi^+pi^-)$ has been measured using 22 pb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected with the CMD-3 detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider in the c.m. energy range 1.5 -- 2.0 GeV. The measured cross se
ction exhibits a sharp drop near the $pbar p$ threshold. A first study of dynamics of six-pion production has been performed.
