We present a proposal for deterministic quantum teleportation of electrons in a semiconductor nanostructure consisting of a single and a double quantum dot. The central issue addressed in this paper is how to design and implement the most efficient - in terms of the required number of single and two-qubit operations - deterministic teleportation protocol for this system. Using a group-theoretical analysis we show that deterministic teleportation requires a minimum of three single-qubit rotations and two entangling (sqrt(swap)) operations. These can be implemented for spin qubits in quantum dots using electron spin resonance (for single-spin rotations) and exchange interaction (for sqrt(swap) operations).

Recently, de Visser and Blaauboer [Phys. Rev. Lett. {bf 96}, 246801 (2006)] proposed the most efficient deterministic teleportation protocol $cal T$ for electron spins in a semiconductor nanostructure consisting of a single and a double quantum dot. However, it is as yet unknown if $cal T$ can be completed before decoherence sets in. In this paper we analyze the detrimental effect of nuclear spin baths, the main source of decoherence, on $cal T$. We show that nonclassical teleportation fidelity can be achieved with $cal T$ provided certain conditions are met. Our study indicates that realization of quantum computation with quantum dots is indeed promising.
We introduce a model of quantum teleportation on a channel built on a quantum dot chain. Quantum dots are coupled through hopping and each dot can accept zero, one or two electrons. Vacuum and double occupation states have the same potential energy, while single occupation states are characterized by a lower potential energy. A single dot initially decoupled from the others is weakly coupled with an external element (Bob), where a pair of electrons has been previously localized. Because of hopping after a suitable time the two dots charge states become maximally entangled. Another chain dot (Alice) is put in an unknown superposition of vacuum and double occupation states, and the other dots are initially empty. The time evolution of the system involves an electron diffusive process. A post selection procedure represented by the detection of charge pairs in a region of the chain equidistant from Alice and Bob, allows, if successful, the reconstruction on the Bob site of the unknown state initially encoded by Alice. The peculiar feature of the model is that the introduction of a trapped magnetic field strongly improves the process efficiency.

Electron spin s in semiconductor quantum dot s have been intensively studied for implementing quantum computation and high fidelity single and two qubit operation s have recently been achieved . Quantum teleportation is a three qubit protocol exploit ing quantum entanglement and it serv es as a n essential primitive for more sophisticated quantum algorithm s Here, we demonstrate a scheme for quantum teleportation based on direct Bell measurement for a single electron spin qubit in a triple quantum dot utilizing the Pauli exclusion principle to create and detect maximally entangled state s . T he single spin polarization is teleported from the input qubit to the output qubit with a fidelity of 0.9 1 We find this fidelity is primarily limited by singlet triplet mixing which can be improved by optimizing the device parameters Our results may be extended to quantum algorithms with a larger number of se miconductor spin qubit s
Among the different platforms for quantum information processing, individual electron spins in semiconductor quantum dots stand out for their long coherence times and potential for scalable fabrication. The past years have witnessed substantial progr ess in the capabilities of spin qubits. However, coupling between distant electron spins, which is required for quantum error correction, presents a challenge, and this goal remains the focus of intense research. Quantum teleportation is a canonical method to transmit qubit states, but it has not been implemented in quantum-dot spin qubits. Here, we present evidence for quantum teleportation of electron spin qubits in semiconductor quantum dots. Although we have not performed quantum state tomography to definitively assess the teleportation fidelity, our data are consistent with conditional teleportation of spin eigenstates, entanglement swapping, and gate teleportation. Such evidence for all-matter spin-state teleportation underscores the capabilities of exchange-coupled spin qubits for quantum-information transfer.

Usually, the liner waveguides with single quantum emitters are utilized as routers to construct the quantum network in quantum information processings. Here, we investigate the influence of the nonlinear dispersion on quantum routing of single surfac e plasmons, between two metal nanowires with a pair of quantum dots. By using a full quantum theory in real space, we obtain the routing probabilities of a single surface plasmon into the four outports of two plasmonic waveguides scattered by a pair of quantum dots. It is shown that, by properly designing the inter-dot distance and the dot-plasmon couplings, the routing capability of the surface plasmons between the plasmonic waveguide channels can be significantly higher than the relevant network formed by the single-emitter waveguides with the linear dispersions. Interestingly, the present quadratic dispersions in the waveguides deliver the manifest Fano-like resonances of the surface-plasmon transport. Therefore, the proposed double-dot configuration could be utilized as a robust quantum router for controlling the surface-plasmon routing in the plasmonic waveguides and a plasmonic Fano-like resonance controller.
