We consider gravitational wave production due to parametric resonance at the end of inflation, or ``preheating. This leads to large inhomogeneities which source a stochastic background of gravitational waves at scales inside the comoving Hubble horizon at the end of inflation. We confirm that the present amplitude of these gravitational waves need not depend on the inflationary energy scale. We analyze an explicit model where the inflationary energy scale is ~10^9 GeV, yielding a signal close to the sensitivity of Advanced LIGO and BBO. This signal highlights the possibility of a new observational ``window into inflationary physics, and provides significant motivation for searches for stochastic backgrounds of gravitational waves in the Hz to GHz range, with an amplitude on the order of Omega_{gw}(k)h^2 ~ 10^-11. Finally, the strategy used in our numerical computations is applicable to the gravitational waves generated by many inhomogeneous processes in the early universe.

Gravitational waves (GW) produced in the early Universe contribute to the number of relativistic degrees of freedom, $N_{rm eff}$, during Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN). By using the constraints on $N_{rm eff}$, we present a new bound on how much the Universe could have expanded between horizon exit of the largest observable scales today and the end of inflation. We discuss the implications on inflationary models and show how the new constraints affect model selection. We also discuss the sensitivities of the current and planned GW observatories such as LIGO and LISA, and show that the constraints they could impose are always less stringent than the BBN bound.
We present a new mechanism for generating primordial statistical anisotropy of curvature perturbations. We introduce a vector field which has a non-minimal kinetic term and couples with a waterfall field in hybrid inflation model. In such a system, t he vector field gives fluctuations of the end of inflation and hence induces a subcomponent of curvature perturbations. Since the vector has a preferred direction, the statistical anisotropy could appear in the fluctuations. We present the explicit formula for the statistical anisotropy in the primordial power spectrum and the bispectrum of curvature perturbations. Interestingly, there is the possibility that the statistical anisotropy does not appear in the power spectrum but does appear in the bispectrum. We also find that the statistical anisotropy provides the shape dependence to the bispectrum.
We identify a characteristic pattern in the scalar-induced stochastic gravitational wave background from particle production during inflation. If particle production is sufficiently efficient, the scalar power spectrum exhibits $mathcal{O}(1)$ oscill ations periodic in $k$, characteristic of a sharp feature, with an exponentially enhanced envelope. We systematically study the properties of the induced spectrum of gravitational waves sourced after inflation and find that this inherits the periodic structure in $k$, resulting in a peak in the gravitational wave energy density spectrum with $mathcal{O}(10 %)$ modulations. The frequency of the oscillation in the scalar power spectrum is determined by the scale of the feature during inflation and in turn sets the frequency of modulations in the gravitational wave signal. We present an explicit realisation of this phenomenon in the framework of multifield inflation, in the form of a strong sharp turn in the inflationary trajectory. The resulting stochastic background is potentially detectable in future gravitational wave observatories, and considerations of backreaction and perturbativity can be used to constrain the parameter space from the theoretical side. Our work motivates more extensive research linking primordial features to observable properties of the stochastic background of gravitational waves, and dedicated development in data analysis for their detection.

In this paper, we investigate the Axion-like Particle inflation by applying the multi-nature inflation model, where the end of inflation is achieved through the phase transition (PT). The events of PT should not be less than $200$, which results in t he free parameter $ngeq404$. Under the latest CMB restrictions, we found that the inflation energy is fixed at $10^{15} rm{GeV}$. Then, we deeply discussed the corresponding stochastic background of the primordial gravitational wave (GW) during inflation. We study the two kinds of $n$ cases, i.e., $n=404, 2000$. We observe that the magnitude of $n$ is negligible for the physical observations, such as $n_s$, $r$, $Lambda$, and $Omega_{rm{GW}}h^2$. In the low-frequency regions, the GW is dominated by the quantum fluctuations, and this GW can be detected by Decigo at $10^{-1}~rm{Hz}$. However, GW generated by PT dominates the high-frequency regions, which is expected to be detected by future 3DSR detector.
We present analytic results for the gravitational wave power spectrum induced in models where the inflaton is coupled to a fermionic pseudocurrent. We show that although such a coupling creates helically polarized fermions, the polarized component of the resulting gravitational waves is parametrically suppressed with respect to the non-polarized one. We also show that the amplitude of the gravitational wave signal associated to this production cannot exceed that generated by the standard mechanism of amplification of vacuum fluctuations. We previously found that this model allows for a regime in which the backreaction of the produced fermions allows for slow-roll inflation even for a steep inflaton potential, and still leads to Gaussian primordial scalar perturbations. The present analysis shows that this regime also results in a gravitational wave signal compatible with the current bounds.
