Recent work showed that a theorem of Joris (that a function $f$ is smooth if two coprime powers of $f$ are smooth) is valid in a wide variety of ultradifferentiable classes $mathcal C$. The core of the proof was essentially $1$-dimensional. In certain cases a multidimensional version resulted from subtle reduction arguments, but general validity, notably in the quasianalytic setting, remained open. In this paper we give a uniform proof which works in all cases and dimensions. It yields the result even on infinite dimensional Banach spaces and convenient vector spaces. We also consider more general nonlinear conditions, namely general analytic germs $Phi$ instead of the powers, and characterize when $Phi circ f in mathcal C$ implies $f in mathcal C$.

In this note, we aim to provide generalizations of (i) Knuths old sum (or Reed Dawson identity) and (ii) Riordans identity using a hypergeometric series approach.
Minimum Riesz energy problems in the presence of an external field are analyzed for a condenser with touching plates. We obtain sufficient and/or necessary conditions for the solvability of these problems in both the unconstrained and the constrained settings, investigate the properties of minimizers, and prove their uniqueness. Furthermore, characterization theorems in terms of variational inequalities for the weighted potentials are established. The results obtained are illustrated by several examples.

We establish $L^ptimes L^q$ to $L^r$ estimates for some paraproducts, which arise in the study of the bilinear Hilbert transform along curves.
Using generalized hypergeometric functions to perform symbolic manipulation of equations is of great importance to pure and applied scientists. There are in the literature a great number of identities for the Meijer-G function. On the other hand, whe n more complex expressions arise, the latter function is not capable of representing them. The H-function is an alternative to overcome this issue, as it is a generalization of the Meijer-G function. In the present paper, a new identity for the H-function is derived. In short, this result enables one to split a particular H-function into the sum of two other H-functions. The new relation in addition to an old result are applied to the summation of hypergeometric series. Finally, some relations between H-functions and elementary functions are built
We study the general moment problem for measures on the real line, with polynomials replaced by more general spaces of entire functions. As a particular case, we describe measures that are uniquely determined by a restriction of their Fourier transfo rm to a finite interval. We apply our results to prove an extension of a theorem by Eremenko and Novikov on the frequency of oscillations of measures with a spectral gap (high-pass signals) near infinity.
