The quest for extension of holographic correspondence to the case of finite temperature naturally includes Kerr-AdS black holes and their field theory duals. In this paper we study the holography by probing the correspondence with pulsating strings. The case we consider is pulsating strings in the five-dimensional Kerr-AdS space time. First we find particular pulsating string solutions and then semi-classically quantize the theory. For the string with large values of energy, we use the Bohr-Sommerfeld analysis to find the energy of the string as a function of a large quantum number. We obtain the wave function of the problem and thoroughly study the corrections to the energy, which by duality are supposed to give anomalous dimensions of certain operators in the dual gauge theory. The interpretation of results from holographic point of view is not straightforward since the dual theory is at finite temperature. Nevertheless, near or at conformal point the expressions can be thought of as the dispersion relations of stationary states.

We study $mathcal{N}=2$ supergravity with higher-derivative corrections that preserve the $mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetry and show that Kerr-Newman black holes are solutions to these theories. Modifications of the black hole entropy due to the higher de rivatives are universal and apply even in the BPS and Schwarzschild limits. Our solutions and their entropy are greatly simplified by supersymmetry of the theory even though the black holes generally do not preserve any of the supersymmetry.
In this letter, the open string is quantized in a time dependent black hole background. The geometry is defined through an adiabatic approximation of the Vaydia metric. The worldsheet two-point function is derived and it is shown to have the same typ e of singularity as the flat space one. However, the equal times two-point function depends on the particular Cauchy surface where the worldsheet fields are defined. Finite temperature effects are incorporated through the Liouville-von Neumann approach to non equilibrium thermodynamics.
The spontaneous pair production of charged scalars in a near extremal Kerr-Newman (KN) black hole is analytically studied. It is shown that the existence condition for the pair production is equivalent to the violation of the Breitenlohner-Freedman b ound in an AdS$_2$ space. The mean number of produced pairs in the extremal black hole has a thermal interpretation, in which the effective temperature for the Schwinger effect in the AdS$_2$ space persistently holds, while the mean number in the near extremal black hole has an additional factor of the Schwinger effect in the Rindler space. In addition, the holographic dual conformal field theory (CFT) descriptions of the charged scalar pair production are respectively realized both in the $J$ and $Q$ pictures in terms of the KN/CFTs correspondence.
We study the spontaneous pair production of scalar dyons in the near extremal dyonic Kerr-Newman (KN) black hole, which contains a warped AdS$_3$ structure in the near horizon region. The leading term contribution of the pair production rate and the absorption cross section ratio are also calculated using the Hamilton-Jacobi approach and the thermal interpretation is given. In addition, the holographic dual conformal field theories (CFTs) descriptions of the pair production rate and absorption cross section ratios are analyzed both in the $J$-, $Q$- and $P$-pictures respectively based on the threefold dyonic KN/CFTs dualities.
We present new analytic rotating AdS$_4$ black holes, found as solutions of 4d gauged $mathcal{N}=2$ supergravity coupled to abelian vector multiplets with a symmetric scalar manifold. These configurations preserve two real supercharges and have a sm ooth limit to the BPS Kerr-Newman-AdS$_4$ black hole. We spell out the solution of the $STU$ model admitting an uplift to M-theory on S$^7$. We identify an entropy function, which upon extremization gives the black hole entropy, to be holographically reproduced by the leading $N$ contribution of the generalized superconformal index of the dual theory.
