To study the quality of stellar spectra of the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) and the correctness of the corresponding stellar parameters derived by the LASP (LAMOST Stellar Parameter Pipeline), the outlier analysis method is applied to the archived AFGK stars in the fifth data release (DR5) of LAMOST. The outlier factor is defined in order to sort more than 3 million stellar spectra selected from the DR5 Stellar Parameter catalog. We propose an improved Local Outlier Factor (LOF) method based on Principal Component Analysis and Monte Carlo to enable the computation of the LOF rankings for randomly picked sub-samples that are computed in parallel by multiple computers, and finally to obtain the outlier ranking of each spectrum in the entire dataset. Totally 3,627 most outlier ranked spectra, around one-thousandth of all spectra, are selected and clustered into 10 groups, and the parameter density distribution of them conforms to the parameter distribution of LAMOST DR5, which suggests that in the whole parameter space the probability of bad spectra is uniformly distributed. By cross-matching the 3,627 spectra with APOGEE, we obtain 122 common ones. The published parameters calculated from LASP agree with APOGEE for the 122 spectra although there are bad pixels or bad flux calibrations in them. On the other hand, some outlier spectra show strong nebular contamination warning the corresponding parameters should be carefully used. We present the Data Release 4&5 quasar catalog from the quasar survey by Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST), which includes quasars observed between September 2015 and June 2017. There are a total of 19,253 quasars ide ntified by visual inspections of the spectra. Among them, 11,458 are independently discovered by LAMOST, in which 3296 were reported by SDSS DR12 and DR14 quasar catalog after our survey began, while the rest 8162 are new discoveries of LAMOST. We provide the emission line measurements for the Halpha, Hbeta, MgII and/or CIV for 18100 quasars. Since LAMOST does not have absolute flux calibration information, we obtain the monochromatic continuum luminosities by fitting the SDSS photometric data using the quasar spectra, and then estimate the black hole masses. The catalog and spectra for these quasars are available online. This is the third installment in the series of LAMOST quasar survey which has released spectra for totally ~43,000 quasars hitherto. There are 24,772 independently discovered quasars, 17,128 of which are newly discovered. In addition to the great supplement to the new quasar discoveries, LAMOST has also provided a large database (overlapped with SDSS) for investigating the quasar spectral variability and discovering unusual quasars, including changing-look quasars, with ongoing and upcoming large surveys.
We present preliminary results of the quasar survey in Large Sky Area Multi- Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) first data release (DR1), which includes pilot survey and the first year regular survey. There are 3921 quasars identified with reliability, among which 1180 are new quasars discovered in the survey. These quasars are at low to median redshifts, with highest z of 4.83. We compile emission line measurements around the H{alpha}, H{beta}, Mg II, and C IV regions for the new quasars. The continuum luminosities are inferred from SDSS photo- metric data with model fitting as the spectra in DR1 are non-flux-calibrated. We also compile the virial black hole mass estimates, and flags indicating the selec- tion methods, broad absorption line quasars. The catalog and spectra for these quasars are available online. 28% of the 3921 quasars are selected with optical- infrared colours independently, indicating that the method is quite promising in completeness of quasar survey. LAMOST DR1 and the on-going quasar survey will provide valuable data in the studies of quasars.
Standard stellar evolution model predicts a severe depletion of lithium (Li) abundance during the first dredge-up process (FDU). Yet a small fraction of giant stars are still found to preserve a considerable amount of Li in their atmospheres after FD U. Those giants are usually identified as Li-rich by a widely used criterion, A(Li) $ > 1.5$,{it dex}. A large number of works dedicated to search for and investigate this minority of the giant family, and the amount of Li-rich giants has been largely expanded, especially in the era of big data. In this paper, we present a catalog of Li-rich giants found from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey with Li abundances derived from a template matching method developed for LAMOST low-resolution spectra. The catalog contains $10,535$ Li-rich giants with Li abundances from $sim 1.5$,{it dex} to $sim 4.9$,{it dex}. We also confirm that the ratio of Li-rich phenomenon among giant stars is about one percent, or for a more expression, $1.29%$ from our statistically important sample. This is the largest Li-rich giant sample ever reported to date, which significantly exceeds amount of all the reported Li-rich giants combined. The catalog will help the community to better understand the Li-rich phenomenon in giant stars.

This is the second installment for the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fibre Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) Quasar Survey, which includes quasars observed from September 2013 to June 2015. There are 9024 confirmed quasars in DR2 and 10911 in DR3. After cross-match with the SDSS quasar catalogs and NED, 12126 quasars are discovered independently. Among them 2225 quasars were released by SDSS DR12 QSO catalogue in 2014 after we finalised the survey candidates. 1801 sources were identified by SDSS DR14 as QSOs. The remaining 8100 quasars are considered as newly founded, and among them 6887 quasars can be given reliable emission line measurements and the estimated black hole masses. Quasars found in LAMOST are mostly located at low-to-moderate redshifts, with a mean value of 1.5. The highest redshift observed in DR2 and DR3 is 5. We applied emission line measurements to H$alpha$, H$beta$, Mg{sc ii} and C{sc iv}. We deduced the monochromatic continuum luminosities using photometry data, and estimated the virial black hole masses for the newly discovered quasars. Results are compiled into a quasar catalog, which will be available online.
Accurate radial velocity determinations of optical emission lines (i.e. [NII]${lambda}{lambda}$6548,6584, H${alpha}$, and [SII]${lambda}{lambda}$6717,6731) are very important for investigating the kinematics and dynamics properties of nebulae. The se cond stage survey program of Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) has started a sub-survey of nebulae (MRS-N) which will spectroscopically observe the optical emission lines of a large sample of nebulae near the Galactic plane. Until now, 15 MRS-N plates have been observed from 2017 September to 2019 June. Based on fitting the sky emission lines in the red band spectra of MRS-N, we investigate the precision of wavelength calibration and find there are systematic deviations of radial velocities (RVs) from $sim$0.2 to 4 km/s for different plates. Especially for the plates obtained in 2018 March, the systematic deviations of RVs can be as large as $sim$4 km/s, which then go down to $sim$0.2-0.5 km/s at the end of 2018 and January 2019. A RVs calibration function is proposed for these MRS-N plates, which can simultaneously and successfully calibration the systematic deviations and improve the precision of RVs.
