We show that one can re-arrange the Heavy Quark Expansion for inclusive weak decays of charmed hadrons in such a way that the resulting expansion is an expansion in $Lambda_{rm QCD} / m_c$ and $alpha_s (m_c)$ with order-one coefficients. Unlike in the case of the bottom quark, the leading term includes not only the contribution of the free-quark decay, but also a tower of terms related to matrix elements of four quark operators.
The recent experimental results on the flow of $J/psi$ at LHC show that ample amount of charm quarks is present in the quark gluon plasma and probably they are thermalized. In the current study we investigate the effect of thermalized charm quarks on
We study the effects of heavy quarks on the equation of state for cold and dense quark matter obtained from perturbative QCD, yielding observables parametrized only by the renormalization scale. We investigate the thermodynamics of charm quark matter
We present a lattice QCD calculation of the heavy quark expansion parameters $mu_{pi}^2$ and $mu_G^2$ for heavy-light mesons and heavy-light-light baryons. The calculation is carried out on a 20$^3times$48 lattice at $beta$ = 6.0 in the quenched appr
Using the lattice NRQCD action for heavy quark, we calculate the heavy quark expansion parameters $mu_{pi}^2$ and $mu_G^2$ for heavy-light mesons and heavy-light-light baryons. The results are compared with the mass differences among heavy hadrons to
We evaluate heavy-quark (HQ) transport properties in a Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) employing interaction potentials extracted from thermal lattice QCD. Within a Brueckner many-body scheme we calculate in-medium T-matrices for charm- and bottom-quark sca
