We present predictions for the gluon-fusion Higgs $p_T$ spectrum at third resummed and fixed order (N$^3$LL$+$N$^3$LO) including fiducial cuts as required by experimental measurements at the Large Hadron Collider. Integrating the spectrum, we predict for the first time the total fiducial cross section to third order (N$^3$LO) and improved by resummation. The N$^3$LO correction is enhanced by cut-induced logarithmic effects and is not reproduced by the inclusive N$^3$LO correction times a lower-order acceptance. These are the highest-order predictions of their kind achieved so far at a hadron collider.

We present phenomenological results for the inclusive cross section for the production of a lepton-pair via virtual photon exchange at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) in perturbative QCD. In line with the case of Higgs production, we find that the hadronic cross section receives corrections at the percent level, and the residual dependence on the perturbative scales is reduced. However, unlike in the Higgs case, we observe that the uncertainty band derived from scale variation is no longer contained in the band of the previous order.
We present the resummed predictions for inclusive cross-section for Drell-Yan (DY) production as well as onshell $Z,W^pm$ productions at next-to-next-to-next-to leading logarithmic (N$^{3}$LL) accuracy. Using the standard techniques, we derive the $N $-dependent coefficients in the Mellin-$N$ space as well as the $N$-independent constants and match the resummed result through the minimal prescription matching procedure with that of existing next-to next-to leading order (NNLO). In addition to the standard $ln N$ exponentiation, we study the numerical impacts of exponentiating $N$-independent part of the soft function and the complete $bar{g}_0$ that appears in the resummed predictions in $N$ space. All the analytical pieces needed in these different approaches are extracted from the soft-virtual part of the inclusive cross section known to next-to-next-to-next-to leading order (N$^3$LO). We perform a detailed analysis on the scale and parton distribution function (PDF) variations and present predictions for the 13 TeV LHC for the neutral Drell-Yan process as well as onshell charged and neutral vector boson productions.
The four-lepton decay mode of the Higgs boson allows for a clean kinematic reconstruction, thereby enabling precision studies of the Higgs boson properties and of its production dynamics. We compute the NNLO QCD corrections to fiducial cross sections relevant to this decay mode in the gluon-fusion production of a Higgs boson in association with a hadronic jet, and study the impact of the QCD corrections on the fiducial acceptance factors in inclusive Higgs and Higgs-plus-jet production. We investigate in detail the different definitions used in the ATLAS and CMS measurements to define the fiducial cross sections. Differences in the lepton isolation prescription are found to have a sizeable impact on the higher order corrections to the fiducial acceptance factors.
An analytic formula is given for the total scattering cross section of an electron and a photon at order $alpha^3$. This includes both the double-Compton scattering real-emission contribution as well as the virtual Compton scattering part. When combi ned with the recent analytic result for the pair-production cross section, the complete $alpha^3$ cross section is now known. Both the next-to-leading order calculation as well as the pair-production cross section are computed using modern multiloop calculation techniques, where cut diagrams are decomposed into a set of master integrals that are then computed using differential equations.
The study of Higgs boson production at large transverse momentum is one of the new frontiers for the LHC Higgs physics programme. This paper considers boosted Higgs production in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We focus on the gluo n fusion and $t{bar t}H$ production processes and study the effects of three dimension-6 operators: the top Yukawa operator, the gluon-Higgs effective coupling and the chromomagnetic dipole operator of the top quark. We perform a detailed study of the sensitivity of current and future LHC data to the corresponding Wilson coefficients, consistently accounting for their renormalisation group evolution. We compare the sensitivities obtained with only linear and linear + quadratic terms in the SMEFT by using the spectrum shape and the addition of the Higgs signal yields. We also consider fits of $p_T$ spectra in models with heavy-top partners and in MSSM scenarios with a light scalar top and study the validity of the SMEFT assumptions as a function of the new-particle masses and the Higgs $p_T$ range. Finally, we extract constraints on the Wilson coefficients for gluon fusion from a simultaneous fit to the ATLAS and CMS data and compare our results with those obtained in global SMEFT analyses.
