Two damped, central force systems are investigated and equivalent, undamped systems are obtained. The dynamics of a particle moving in $frac{1}{r}$ potential and subjected to a damping force is shown to be regularized a la Levi-Civita. This mapping is then elevated to the corresponding quantum mechanical systems and using it, the energy spectrum of the former is calculated. Mapping of a particle moving in a harmonic potential subjected to damping to an undamped system is then derived using Bohlin-Sudman transformation, for both classical and quantum regime.

Regularization of damped motion under central forces in two and three-dimensions are investigated and equivalent, undamped systems are obtained. The dynamics of a particle moving in $frac{1}{r}$ potential and subjected to a damping force is shown to be regularized a la Levi-Civita. We then generalize this regularization mapping to the case of damped motion in the potential $r^{-frac{2N}{N+1}}$. Further equation of motion of a damped Kepler motion in 3-dimensions is mapped to an oscillator with inverted sextic potential and couplings, in 4-dimensions using Kustaanheimo-Stiefel regularization method. It is shown that the strength of the sextic potential is given by the damping co-efficient of the Kepler motion. Using homogeneous Hamiltonian formalism, we establish the mapping between the Hamiltonian of these two models. Both in 2 and 3-dimensions, we show that the regularized equation is non-linear, in contrast to undamped cases. Mapping of a particle moving in a harmonic potential subjected to damping to an undamped system with shifted frequency is then derived using Bohlin-Sudman transformation.
In this work, we review two methods used to approach singular Hamiltonians in (2+1) dimensions. Both methods are based on the self-adjoint extension approach. It is very common to find singular Hamiltonians in quantum mechanics, especially in quantum systems in the presence of topological defects, which are usually modelled by point interactions. In general, it is possible to apply some kind of regularization procedure, as the vanishing of the wave function at the location of the singularity, ensuring that the wave function is square-integrable and then can be associated with a physical state. However, a study based on the self-adjoint extension approach can lead to more general boundary conditions that still gives acceptable physical states. We exemplify the methods by exploring the bound and scattering scenarios of a spin 1/2 charged particle with an anomalous magnetic moment in the Aharonov-Bohm potential in the conical space.

We review the relation between scale and conformal symmetries in various models and dimensions. We present a dimensional reduction from relativistic to non-relativistic conformal dynamics.

Applying the general framework for local zeta regularization proposed in Part I of this series of papers, we renormalize the vacuum expectation value of the stress-energy tensor (and of the total energy) for a scalar field in presence of an external harmonic potential.

Applying the general framework for local zeta regularization proposed in Part I of this series of papers, we compute the renormalized vacuum expectation value of several observables (in particular, of the stress-energy tensor and of the total energy) for a massless scalar field confined within a rectangular box of arbitrary dimension.
