Multichannel adaptive signal detection jointly uses the test and training data to form an adaptive detector, and then make a decision on whether a target exists or not. Remarkably, the resulting adaptive detectors usually possess the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) properties, and hence no additional CFAR processing is needed. Filtering is not needed as a processing procedure either, since the function of filtering is embedded in the adaptive detector. Moreover, adaptive detection usually exhibits better detection performance than the filtering-then-CFAR detection technique. Multichannel adaptive signal detection has been more than 30 years since the first multichannel adaptive detector was proposed by Kelly in 1986. However, there are fewer overview articles on this topic. In this paper we give a tutorial overview of multichannel adaptive signal detection, with emphasis on Gaussian background. We present the main deign criteria for adaptive detectors, investigate the relationship between adaptive detection and filtering-then-CFAR detection, relationship between adaptive detectors and adaptive filters, summarize typical adaptive detectors, show numerical examples, give comprehensive literature review, and discuss some possible further research tracks.

In this paper, we consider the problem of detecting a multichannel signal in interference and noise when signal mismatch happens. We first propose two selective detectors, since their strong selectivity is preferred in some situations. However, these two detectors would not be suitable candidates if a robust detector is needed. To overcome this shortcoming, we then devise a tunable detector, which is parametrized by a non-negative scaling factor, referred to as the tunable parameter. By adjusting the tunable parameter, the proposed detector can smoothly change its capability in rejecting or robustly detecting a mismatch signal. Moreover, one selective detector and the tunable detector with an appropriate tunable parameter can provide nearly the same detection performance as existing detectors in the absence of signal mismatch. We obtain analytical expressions for the probabilities of detection (PDs) and probabilities of false alarm (PFAs) of the three proposed detectors, which are verified by Monte Carlo simulations.

Vulnerability detection has always been the most important task in the field of software security. With the development of technology, in the face of massive source code, automated analysis and detection of vulnerabilities has become a current resear ch hotspot. For special text files such as source code, using some of the hottest NLP technologies to build models and realize the automatic analysis and detection of source code has become one of the most anticipated studies in the field of vulnerability detection. This article does a brief survey of some recent new documents and technologies, such as CodeBERT, and summarizes the previous technologies.
This paper deals with adaptive radar detection of a subspace signal competing with two sources of interference. The former is Gaussian with unknown covariance matrix and accounts for the joint presence of clutter plus thermal noise. The latter is str uctured as a subspace signal and models coherent pulsed jammers impinging on the radar antenna. The problem is solved via the Principle of Invariance which is based on the identification of a suitable group of transformations leaving the considered hypothesis testing problem invariant. A maximal invariant statistic, which completely characterizes the class of invariant decision rules and significantly compresses the original data domain, as well as its statistical characterization are determined. Thus, the existence of the optimum invariant detector is addressed together with the design of practically implementable invariant decision rules. At the analysis stage, the performance of some receivers belonging to the new invariant class is established through the use of analytic expressions.
We conduct a review to assess how the simulation of repeated or recurrent events are planned. For such multivariate time-to-events, it is well established that the underlying mechanism is likely to be complex and to involve in particular both heterog eneity in the population and event-dependence. In this respect, we particularly focused on these two dimensions of events dynamic when mimicking actual data. Next, we investigate whether the processes generated in the simulation studies have similar properties to those expected in the clinical data of interest. Finally we describe a simulation scheme for generating data according to the timescale of choice (gap time/ calendar) and to whether heterogeneity and/or event-dependence are to be considered. The main finding is that event-dependence is less widely considered in simulation studies than heterogeneity. This is unfortunate since the occurrence of an event may alter the risk of occurrence of new events.

Automated negotiation can be an efficient method for resolving conflict and redistributing resources in a coalition setting. Automated negotiation has already seen increased usage in fields such as e-commerce and power distribution in smart girds, an d recent advancements in opponent modelling have proven to deliver better outcomes. However, significant barriers to more widespread adoption remain, such as lack of predictable outcome over time and user trust. Additionally, there have been many recent advancements in the field of reasoning about uncertainty, which could help alleviate both those problems. As there is no recent survey on these two fields, and specifically not on their possible intersection we aim to provide such a survey here.
