The decays $B^0_s rightarrow J/psi pi^+pi^- K^+ K^-$ are studied using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV. The decays $B^0_s rightarrow J/psi K^{ast0} bar{K}^{ast0}$ and $B^0_s rightarrow chi_{c1}(3872)K^+K^-$, where the $K^+K^-$ pair does not originate from a $phi$ meson, are observed for the first time. Precise measurements of the ratios of branching fractions between intermediate $chi_{c1}(3872)phi$, $J/psi K^{ast0}bar{K}^{ast0}$, $psi(2S)phi$ and $chi_{c1}(3872)K^+K^-$ states are reported. A structure, denoted as $X(4740)$, is observed in the $J/psiphi$ mass spectrum and, assuming a Breit-Wigner parameterisation, its mass and width are determined to be begin{eqnarray*} m_{X(4740)} & = & 4741 pm 6 pm 6,{mathrm{MeV}}/c^2 ,, Gamma_{X(4740)} & = & 53 pm 15 pm 11,{mathrm{MeV}} ,, end{eqnarray*} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, the most precise single measurement of the mass of the $B^0_s$ meson is performed and gives a value of $$ m_{B^0_s} = 5366.98 pm 0.07 pm 0.13,{mathrm{MeV}}/c^2,. $$

A search is made for the highly-suppressed B meson decays $B^{+}rightarrow K^{+}K^{+}pi^{-}$ and $B^{+}rightarrow pi^{+}pi^{+}K^{-}$ using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 $fb^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment in pr oton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. No evidence is found for the decays, and upper limits at 90% confidence level are determined to be $mathcal{B}(B^{+}rightarrow K^{+}K^{+}pi^{-}) < 1.1times 10^{-8}$ and $mathcal{B}(B^{+}rightarrow pi^{+}pi^{+}K^{-}) < 4.6times 10^{-8}$.
Measurements are presented of the $CP$ violation observables $S$ and $C$ in the decays of $B^0$ and $overline{B}{}^0$ mesons to the $J/psi K^0_S$ final state. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $3.0,text{fb}^{-1}$ collected wi th the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8,text{TeV}$. The analysis of the time evolution of $41500$ $B^0$ and $overline{B}{}^0$ decays yields $S = 0.731 pm 0.035 , text{(stat)} pm 0.020 ,text{(syst)}$ and $C = -0.038 pm 0.032 , text{(stat)} pm 0.005,text{(syst)}$. In the Standard Model, $S$ equals $sin(2beta)$ to a good level of precision. The values are consistent with the current world averages and with the Standard Model expectations.
A model-dependent amplitude analysis of the decay $B^0rightarrow D(K^0_Spi^+pi^-) K^{*0}$ is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb$^{-1}$, recorded at $sqrt{s}=7$ and $8 TeV$ by the LHCb exper iment. The CP violation observables $x_{pm}$ and $y_{pm}$, sensitive to the CKM angle $gamma$, are measured to be begin{eqnarray*} x_- &=& -0.15 pm 0.14 pm 0.03 pm 0.01, y_- &=& 0.25 pm 0.15 pm 0.06 pm 0.01, x_+ &=& 0.05 pm 0.24 pm 0.04 pm 0.01, y_+ &=& -0.65^{+0.24}_{-0.23} pm 0.08 pm 0.01, end{eqnarray*} where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic and the third arise from the uncertainty on the $Drightarrow K^0_S pi^+pi^-$ amplitude model. These are the most precise measurements of these observables. They correspond to $gamma=(80^{+21}_{-22})^{circ}$ and $r_{B^0}=0.39pm0.13$, where $r_{B^0}$ is the magnitude of the ratio of the suppressed and favoured $B^0rightarrow D K^+ pi^-$ decay amplitudes, in a $Kpi$ mass region of $pm50 MeV$ around the $K^*(892)^0$ mass and for an absolute value of the cosine of the $K^{*0}$ decay angle larger than $0.4$.
The three-body charmless hadronic decay $B^0_s rightarrow K^{0}_{rm S} pi^{+}pi^{-}$ provides a number of novel possibilities to search for CP violation effects and test the Standard Model of particle physics. These include fits to the Dalitz-plot di stributions of the decay-time-integrated final state, decay-time-dependent (but without initial state flavour tagging) fits to the Dalitz-plot distribution, as well as full decay-time-dependent and flavour tagged fits. The relative sensitivities of these different approaches are investigated.

Measurements of the effective lifetimes in the $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}$, $B^{0} rightarrow K^{+}pi^{-}$ and $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow pi^{+}K^{-}$ decays are presented using $1.0~mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ of $pp$ collision data collected at a centre-of-m ass energy of 7 TeV by the LHCb experiment. The analysis uses a data-driven approach to correct for the decay time acceptance. The measured effective lifetimes are $tau_{B_{s}^{0} rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}}$ = $1.407~pm~0.016~pm~0.007~mathrm{ps}$, $tau_{B^{0} rightarrow K^{+}pi^{-}}$ = $1.524~pm~0.011~pm~0.004~mathrm{ps}$, $tau_{B_{s}^{0} rightarrow pi^{+}K^{-}}$ = $1.60~pm~0.06~pm~0.01~mathrm{ps}$. This is the most precise determination to date of the effective lifetime in the $B_{s}^{0} rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}$ decay and provides constraints on contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model to the $B_{s}^{0}$ mixing phase and the width difference $DeltaGamma_{s}$.
