Under the aegis of isospin conservation, the amplitudes in Born approximation, i.e., considering the only one-photon-exchange mechanism, of the decay $psito Lambda overline Sigma{}^0+{rm c.c.}$, where $psi$ is a vector charmonium, and of the reaction $e^+e^- to Lambda overline Sigma{}^0+{rm c.c.}$ at the $psi$ mass, are parametrized by the same electromagnetic coupling. It follows that, the modulus of such a coupling can be extracted the data on the two observables: the decay branching fraction and the annihilation cross section. By considering the first two vector charmonia, $J/psi$ and $psi(2S)$, it is found that, especially in the case of $psi(2S)$, there is a substantial discrepancy between the values of the modulus of the same electromagnetic coupling extracted from the branching ratio and the cross section. We propose, as a possible explanation for such a disagreement, the presence in the decay amplitude of an isospin-violating contribution driven by a mechanism based on physical (on-shell) intermediate states, that, due to their own nature, should be more effective in the $psi(2S)$ decay than in that of the $J/psi$.

Using the data samples of $(1310.6pm7.2 )times 10^{6}$ $J/psi$ events and $(448.1pm2.9)times 10^{6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we search for the rare decays $J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.$ and $psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e ^{-} +c.c.$. No significant signals are observed and the corresponding upper limits on the branching fractions at the $90%$ confidence level are determined to be $Br(J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)< 8.5times 10^{-8}$ and $Br (psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)<1.4times 10^{-7}$, respectively. Our limit on $Br(J/psi to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)$ is more stringent by two orders of magnitude than the previous results, and the $Br(psi(3686) to D^{0} e^{+}e^{-} +c.c.)$ is measured for the first time.
We analyze the mixing between $Sigma^0$ and $Lambda^0$ based on the baryon masses. We distinguish the contributions from QCD and QED in the baryon mass splittings. We find that the mixing angle between $Sigma^0$ and $Lambda^0$ is $(2.07pm 0.03)times 10^{-2} $, which leads to the decay branching fraction and up-down asymmetry of $Lambda_c^+ to Sigma^0 e^+ u_e$ to be ${cal B}(Lambda_c^+ to Sigma^0 e^+ u_e)=(1.5pm 0.2)times 10^{-5}$ and $alpha(Lambda_c^+ to Sigma^0 e^+ u_e)=-0.86pm 0.04$, respectively. Moreover, we obtain that $Delta {cal B}equiv {cal B}(Lambda_c^+to Sigma^0 pi^+) - {cal B}(Lambda_c^+to Sigma^+pi^0)=(3.8pm 0.5)times 10^{-4}$ and $Delta alpha equivalpha(Lambda_c^+to Sigma^0 pi^+) -alpha(Lambda_c^+to Sigma^+pi^0)=(-1.6pm 0.7)times10^{-2}$, which should vanish without the mixing.
Using a sample of $(225.2pm 2.8)times 10^6$ $J/psi$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we present results of a study of $J/psirightarrow gammaLambdabar{Lambda}$ and report the first observation of the isospin violating decay $J/psirightarrowL ambdabar{Sigma}^{0}+c.c.$, in which $bar{Sigma}^{0}$ decays to $gamma bar{Lambda}$. The measured branching fractions are $mathcal{B}(J/psirightarrowbar{Lambda}Sigma^{0}$) = $(1.46pm0.11pm0.12) times10^{-5}$ and $mathcal{B}(J/psirightarrowLambdabar{Sigma^{0}}$) = $(1.37pm0.12pm0.11) times10^{-5}$. We search for $Lambda(1520) rightarrow gamma Lambda$ decay, and find no evident signal, and an upper limit for the product branching fraction $mathcal{B}(J/psirightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}(1520)+c.c.)times mathcal{B}(Lambda(1520)rightarrowgammaLambda)<4.1 times10^{-6}$ is set at the 90% confidence level. We also report the observation of $eta_{c}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}$ in $J/psi rightarrow gamma eta_{c}$, $eta_{c}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}$ and measure the branching fraction $mathcal{B}(eta_{c}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}) =(1.16pm0.12 (stat)pm0.19(syst)pm0.28(PDG))times10^{-3}$.
Based on $4.481times10^8$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the branching fraction of the isospin violating decay $psi(3686)rightarrowbar{Sigma}^{0}Lambda+c.c.$ is measured to be $(1.60 pm 0.31 pm 0.13~pm~0.58) times 10 ^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is the uncertainty arising from interference with the continuum. This result is significantly smaller than the measurement based on CLEO-c data sets. The decays $chi_{cJ} rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}$ are measured via $psi(3686)rightarrowgammachi_{cJ}$, and the branching fractions are determined to be $mathcal{B}left(chi_{c0}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}right)=(3.64 pm 0.10 pm 0.10 pm 0.07)times 10^{-4}$, $mathcal{B}left(chi_{c1}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}right)=(1.31pm0.06 pm 0.06 pm0.03)times 10^{-4}$, $mathcal{B}left(chi_{c2}rightarrowLambdabar{Lambda}right)=(1.91pm0.08 pm 0.17 pm0.04)times 10^{-4}$, where the third uncertainties are systematic due to the $psi(3686) rightarrow gamma chi_{c J}$ branching fractions.
The decays $chi_{cJ}toSigma^{0}bar{p}K^{+}+{rm c.c.}~(J = 0, 1, 2)$ are studied via the radiative transition $psi(3686)togammachi_{cJ}$ based on a data sample of $(448.1 pm 2.9)times10^{6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector. The b ranching fractions of $chi_{cJ}toSigma^{0}bar{p}K^{+}+{rm c.c.}~(J = 0, 1, 2)$ are measured to be $(3.03 pm 0.12pm 0.15)times10^{-4}$, $(1.46 pm 0.07pm 0.07)times10^{-4}$, and $(0.91 pm 0.06pm 0.05)times10^{-4}$, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. In addition, no evident structure is found for excited baryon resonances on the two-body subsystems with the limited statistics.
