A study of prompt charm-hadron pair production in proton-lead collisions at $sqrt{s_mathrm{NN}}= 8.16$ TeV is performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 30 nb${}^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb experiment. Production cross-sections for different pairs of charm hadrons are measured and kinematic correlations between the two charm hadrons are investigated. This is the first measurement of associated production of two charm hadrons in proton-lead collisions. The results confirm the predicted enhancement of double parton scattering production in proton-lead collisions compared to the single parton scattering production.
The production of $B^+$, $B^0$ and $Lambda_b^0$ hadrons is studied in proton-lead collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of $sqrt{s_mathrm{NN}}=8.16,{rm TeV}$ recorded with the LHCb detector at the LHC. The measurement uses a dataset
The production of $Upsilon(nS)$ mesons ($n=1,2,3$) in $p$Pb and Pb$p$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $sqrt{s_{NN}}=8.16$ TeV is measured by the LHCb experiment, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of
The photo-production of $J/psi$ mesons at low transverse momentum is studied in peripheral lead-lead collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of 5 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 210 $r
The study of charm production in heavy-ion collisions is considered an excellent probe for the properties of the hot and dense medium created in heavy-ion collisions. Measurements of D-meson nuclear modification can provide strong constraints into th
