We derive the analytical expressions for the first and second order terms in the hadronic transverse momentum spectra obtained from the Tsallis normalized (Tsallis-1) statistics. We revisit the zeroth order quantum Tsallis distributions and obtain the corresponding analytical closed form expressions. It is observed that unlike the classical case, the analytical closed forms of the zeroth order quantum spectra do not resemble the phenomenological distributions used in the literature after $q to q^{-1}$ substitution, where $q$ is the Tsallis entropic parameter. However, the factorization approximation increases the extent of similarity.

We derive approximate iterative analytical solutions of the non-extensive Boltzmann transport equation in the relaxation time approximation. The approximate solutions almost overlap with the exact solution for a considerably wide range of the paramet er values found in describing particle spectra originated in high-energy collisions. We also discuss the Landau kinetic approximation of the non-extensive Boltzmann transport equation and the emergence of the non-extensive Fokker-Planck equation, and use it to estimate the drag and diffusion coefficients of highly energetic light quarks passing through a gluonic plasma.
In order to describe the hadronization of polarized quarks, we discuss an extension of the quark-jet model to transverse momentum dependent fragmentation functions. The description is based on a product ansatz, where each factor in the product repres ents one of the transverse momentum dependent splitting functions, which can be calculated by using effective quark theories. The resulting integral equations and sum rules are discussed in detail for the case of inclusive pion production. In particular, we demonstrate that the 3-dimensional momentum sum rules are satisfied naturally in this transverse momentum dependent quark-jet model. Our results are well suited for numerical calculations in effective quark theories, and can be implemented in Monte-Carlo simulations of polarized quark hadronization processes.
We parametrize the transverse momentum distribution of outgoing hadrons in ultrarelativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions as a superposition of boosted thermal distributions. In this approach, which generalizes the conventional blast wave, the momentum distribution is determined by the distribution of the fluid velocity. We analyze the difference between this generalized blast-wave parametrization and a full hydrodynamic calculation. We then apply the generalized blast-wave fit to experimental data on Pb+Pb collisions at $sqrt{s_{rm NN}}=2.76 mathrm{TeV}$. The fit is reasonable up to $p_tsim 6 mathrm{GeV}$, much beyond the range where hydrodynamics is usually applied, but not perfect. Based on the differences between the fit and the data, we argue that an ideal hydrodynamic calculation cannot fit simultaneously all identified particle spectra, irrespective of the specific implementation. In particular, data display a significant excess of pions at low $p_t$, whose physical interpretation is discussed. Data also show that the distribution of the fluid velocity becomes broader as the collision becomes less central. This broadening is explained by event-by-event hydrodynamic calculations, where it results from the centrality dependence of initial-state fluctuations.
We show that an event-shape engineering based on the mean transverse momentum of charged hadrons, $[p_t]$, provides an optimal handle on the strength of the magnetic field created in central heavy-ion collisions at high energy. This is established th rough quantitative evaluations of the correlation existing between the event-by-event magnetic field produced by the spectator protons in 5.02 TeV Pb+Pb collisions and the event-by-event $[p_t]$ at a given collision centrality. We argue that the event selection based on $[p_t]$ provides a better handle on the magnetic field than the more traditional selection based on the event ellipticities. Advantages brought by this new method for the experimental search of the chiral magnetic effect are discussed.
To assess the properties of the quark-gluon plasma formed in nuclear collisions, the Pearson correlation coefficient between flow harmonics and mean transverse momentum, $rholeft(v_{n}^{2},left[p_{mathrm{T}}right]right)$, reflecting the overlapped ge ometry of colliding atomic nuclei, is measured. $rholeft(v_{2}^{2},left[p_{mathrm{T}}right]right)$ was found to be particularly sensitive to the quadrupole deformation of the nuclei. We study the influence of the nuclear quadrupole deformation on $rholeft(v_{n}^{2},left[p_{mathrm{T}}right]right)$ in $rm{Au+Au}$ and $rm{U+U}$ collisions at RHIC energy using $rm{AMPT}$ transport model, and show that the $rholeft(v_{2}^{2},left[p_{mathrm{T}}right]right)$ is reduced by the prolate deformation $beta_2$ and turns to change sign in ultra-central collisions (UCC).
