The possible formation of tensor condensates originated from a tensor-type interaction between quarks is investigated in the three-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model including the Kobayashi-Maskawa-t Hooft interaction, which leads to flavor mixing. It is shown that independent two tensor condensates appear and a tensor condensate related to the strange quark easily occurs by the effect of the flavor mixing compared with one related to light quarks. Also, it is shown that the tensor condensate related to the strange quark appears at a slightly smaller chemical potential if the Kobayashi-Maskawa-t Hooft interaction is included, due to the flavor mixing effect. It is also shown that the two kinds of tensor condensates may coexist in a certain quark chemical potential due to the flavor mixing.

A possibility of a quark spin polarization originated from a pseudovector condensate is investigated in the three-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with the Kobayashi-Maskawa-t Hooft interaction which leads to flavor mixing. It is shown that a pseudove ctor condensate related to the strange quark easily occurs compared with pseudovector condensate related to light quarks. Further, it is shown that the pseudovector condensate related to the strange quark appears at a slightly small chemical potential by the effect of the flavor mixing due to the Kobayashi-Maskawa-t Hooft interaction.
It is shown that the endpoint of the first order transition line which merges into a crossover regime in the phase diagram of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model, extended to include the six-quark t Hooft and eight-quark interaction Lagrangians, is pushed towards vanishing chemical potential and higher temperatures with increasing strength of the OZI-violating eight-quark interactions. We clarify the connection between the location of the endpoint in the phase diagram and the mechanism of chiral symmetry breaking at the quark level. We show how the 8q interactions affect the number of effective quark degrees of freedom. We are able to obtain the correct asymptotics for this number at large temperatures by using the Pauli-Villars regularization.

We investigate the three flavor Nambu-Jona Lasinio model of neutral quark matter at zero temperature and finite density, keeping into account the scalar, the pseudoscalar and the Kobayashi-Maskawa-t Hooft interactions as well as the repulsive vector plus axial-vector interaction terms (vector extended NJL, VENJL in the following). We focus on the effect of the vector interaction on the chiral restoration at finite density in neutral matter. We also study the evolution of the charged pseudoscalar meson energies as a function of the quark chemical potential.

Constraints on the coupling strengths based on groundstate stability and physical considerations are explained.
We investigate the factorization hypothesis of the four-quark condensate $langle q bar{q} q bar{q} rangle = , A , langle q bar{q} rangle^2$ with the help of the Nambu Jona-Lasinio Model supplemented with eighth order interactions. For that purpose we use the bosonization method with multiple auxiliary variables. We find that in a simplified U(1) version of the model factorization holds, whereas in the full SU(3)-flavor version of the model factorization is broken by terms which are related to the t Hooft interactions.
