We provide a unifying entropy functional and an extremization principle for black holes and black strings in AdS$_4times S^7$ and AdS$_5times S^5$ with arbitrary rotation and generic electric and magnetic charges. This is done by gluing gravitational blocks, basic building blocks that are directly inspired by the holomorphic blocks appearing in the factorization of supersymmetric partition functions in three and four dimensions. We also provide an explicit realization of the attractor mechanism by identifying the values of the scalar fields at the horizon with the critical points of the entropy functional. We give examples based on dyonic rotating black holes with a twist in AdS$_4times S^7$, rotating black strings in AdS$_5times S^5$, dyonic Kerr-Newman black holes in AdS$_4times S^7$ and Kerr-Newman black holes in AdS$_5times S^5$. In particular, our entropy functional extends existing results by adding rotation to the twisted black holes in AdS$_4$ and by adding flavor magnetic charges for the Kerr-Newman black holes in AdS$_4$. We also discuss generalizations to higher-dimensional black objects.

We provide the metric, the gravitino fields and the gauge fields to all orders in the fermionic zero modes for D=5 and D=4, N=2 gauged supergravity solutions starting from non-extremal AdS--Schwarzschild black holes. We compute the Brown-York stress- -energy tensor on the boundary of AdS_5 / AdS_4 spaces and we discuss some implications of the fermionic corrections to perfect fluid interpretation of the boundary theory. The complete non-linear solution, which we denote as fermionic wig, is achieved by acting with supersymmetry transformations upon the supergravity fields and that expansion naturally truncates at some order in the fermionic zero modes.
We study the Complexity=Volume conjecture for Warped AdS$_3$ black holes. We compute the spatial volume of the Einstein-Rosen bridge and we find that its growth rate is proportional to the Hawking temperature times the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. Thi s is consistent with expectations about computational complexity in the boundary theory.
The Complexity=Action conjecture is studied for black holes in Warped AdS$_3$ space, realized as solutions of Einstein gravity plus matter. The time dependence of the action of the Wheeler-DeWitt patch is investigated, both for the non-rotating and t he rotating case. The asymptotic growth rate is found to be equal to the Hawking temperature times the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy; this is in agreement with a previous calculation done using the Complexity=Volume conjecture.
Thermal states in some quantum field theories (QFTs) correspond to black holes in asymptotically AdS spacetime in the AdS/CFT correspondence. We propose a direct procedure to construct holographic images of the black hole in the bulk from a given res ponse function of the QFT on the boundary. The response function with respect to an external source corresponds to the asymptotic data of the bulk field generated by the source on the AdS boundary. According to the wave optics, we can obtain the images from the bulk field propagating in the bulk spacetime. For a thermal state on two-dimensional sphere dual to Schwarzschild-AdS$_4$ black hole, we demonstrate that the holographic images gravitationally lensed by the black hole can be constructed from the response function. In particular, the Einstein rings on the image can be clearly observed and their radius depends on the total energy of the QFT thermal state. These results are consistent with the size of the photon sphere of the black hole calculated in geometrical optics. This implies that, if there exists a dual gravitational picture for a given quantum system, we would be able to probe existence of the dual black hole by the Einstein rings constructed from observables of the quantum system.
We find new asymptotically locally AdS$_4$ Euclidean supersymmetric solutions of the STU model in four-dimensional gauged supergravity. These black saddles have an $S^1times Sigma_{mathfrak{g}}$ boundary at asymptotic infinity and cap off smoothly in the interior. The solutions can be uplifted to eleven dimensions and are holographically dual to the topologically twisted ABJM theory on $S^1times Sigma_{mathfrak{g}}$. We show explicitly that the on-shell action of the black saddle solutions agrees exactly with the topologically twisted index of the ABJM theory in the planar limit for general values of the magnetic fluxes, flavor fugacities, and real masses. This agreement relies on a careful holographic renormalization analysis combined with a novel UV/IR holographic relation between supergravity parameters and field theory sources. The Euclidean black saddle solution space contains special points that can be Wick-rotated to regular Lorentzian supergravity backgrounds that correspond to the well-known supersymmetric dyonic AdS$_4$ black holes in the STU model.
