This volume represents the proceedings of the International Workshop on Reconfigurable and Communication-centric Cyber-Physical Systems (ReCoCyPS 2019), co-located with the 14th International Symposium on Reconfigurable Communication-centric Systems-on-Chip (ReCoSoC 2019) on July 2-3 2019, York, United Kingdom. The workshop is organised by the EU-funded SAFIRE project consortium.

This volume contains the proceedings of the first workshop on Advances in Systems of Systems (AISOS13), held in Roma, Italy, March 16. System-of-Systems describes the large scale integration of many independent self-contained systems to satisfy globa l needs or multi-system requests. Examples are smart grid, intelligent buildings, smart cities, transport systems, etc. There is a need for new modeling formalisms, analysis methods and tools to help make trade-off decisions during design and evolution avoiding leading to sub-optimal design and rework during integration and in service. The workshop should focus on the modeling and analysis of System of Systems. AISOS13 aims to gather people from different communities in order to encourage exchange of methods and views.

PLACES 2016 (full title: Programming Language Approaches to Concurrency- and Communication-Centric Software) is the ninth edition of the PLACES workshop series. After the first PLACES, which was affiliated to DisCoTec in 2008, the workshop has been p art of ETAPS every year since 2009 and is now an established part of the ETAPS satellite events. PLACES 2016 was held on 8th April in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The workshop series was started in order to promote the application of novel programming language ideas to the increasingly important problem of developing software for systems in which concurrency and communication are intrinsic aspects. This includes software for both multi-core systems and large-scale distributed and/or service-oriented systems. The scope of PLACES includes new programming language features, whole new programming language designs, new type systems, new semantic approaches, new program analysis techniques, and new implementation mechanisms. This volume consists of the papers accepted for presentation at the workshop.
This volume contains the proceedings of the First International Workshop of Formal Techniques for Safety-Critical Systems (FTSCS 2012), held in Kyoto on November 12, 2012, as a satellite event of the ICFEM conference. The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers and engineers interested in the application of (semi-)formal methods to improve the quality of safety-critical computer systems. FTSCS is particularly interested in industrial applications of formal methods. Topics include: - the use of formal methods for safety-critical and QoS-critical systems, including avionics, automotive, and medical systems; - methods, techniques and tools to support automated analysis, certification, debugging, etc.; - analysis methods that address the limitations of formal methods in industry; - formal analysis support for modeling languages used in industry, such as AADL, Ptolemy, SysML, SCADE, Modelica, etc.; and - code generation from validated models. The workshop received 25 submissions; 21 of these were regular papers and 4 were tool/work-in-progress/position papers. Each submission was reviewed by three referees; based on the reviews and extensive discussions, the program committee selected nine regular papers, which are included in this volume. Our program also included an invited talk by Ralf Huuck.

This volume contains the proceedings of FOCLASA 2014, the 13th International Workshop on the Foundations of Coordination Languages and Self-Adaptive Systems. FOCLASA 2014 was held in Rome, Italy, on September 9, 2014 as a satellite event of CONCUR 20 14, the 25th International Conference on Concurrency Theory. Modern software systems are distributed, concurrent, mobile, and often involve composition of heterogeneous components and stand-alone services. Service coordination and self-adaptation constitute the core characteristics of distributed and service-oriented systems. Coordination languages and formal approaches to modelling and reasoning about self-adaptive behaviour help to simplify the development of complex distributed service-based systems, enable functional correctness proofs and improve reusability and maintainability of such systems. The goal of the FOCLASA workshop is to put together researchers and practitioners of the aforementioned fields, to share and identify common problems, and to devise general solutions in the context of coordination languages and self-adaptive systems.
