By combining NRQCD factorization and collinear factorization, we compute a series of relativistic corrections for $J/psi$ hadroproduction to all orders in $v^2$ at large $p_T$ limit. The $v^2$ expansion converges well for all channels. We find that the ratio of relativistic correction term to the corresponding leading term is independent of kinematic variables for any channel, which generalizes the proportional relations found in previous works to all orders.

We study inclusive $J/psi$ photoproduction at NLO at large $P_T$ at HERA and the EIC. Our computation includes NLO QCD leading-$P_T$ corrections, QED contributions via an off-shell photon as well as those from $J/psi$+charm channels. For the latter, we employ the variable-flavour-number scheme. Our results are found to agree with the latest HERA data by H1 and provide, for the first time, a reliable estimate of the EIC reach for such a measurement. Finally, we demonstrate the observability of $J/psi$+charm production and the sensitivy to probe the non-perturbative charm content of the proton at high $x$, also known as intrinsic charm, at the EIC.
We study the inclusive J/psi production at large transverse momenta at lepton-hadron colliders in the limit when the exchange photon is quasi real, also referred to as photoproduction. Our computation includes the leading-P_T leading-v next-to-leadin g alpha_s corrections. In particular, we consider the contribution from J/psi plus another charm quark, by employing for the first time in quarkonium photoproduction the variable-flavour-number scheme. We also include a QED-induced contribution via an off-shell photon which remained ignored in the literature and which we show to be the leading contribution at high P_T within the reach of the EIC. In turn, we use our computation of J/psi+charm to demonstrate its observability at the future EIC and the EIC sensitivity to probe the non-perturbative charm content of the proton at high x.
We compute fragmentation corrections to hadroproduction of the quarkonium states $J/psi$, $chi_{cJ}$, and $psi(2S)$ at leading power in $m_c^2/p_T^2$, where $m_c$ is the charm-quark mass and $p_T$ is the quarkonium transverse momentum. The computatio n is carried out in the framework of nonrelativistic QCD. We include corrections to the parton-production cross sections through next-to-leading order in the strong coupling $alpha_s$ and corrections to the fragmentation functions through second order in $alpha_s$. We also sum leading logarithms of $p_T^2/m_c^2$ to all orders in perturbation theory. We find that, when we combine these leading-power fragmentation corrections with fixed-order calculations through next-to-leading order in $alpha_s$, we are able to obtain good fits for $p_Tgeq 10$ GeV to hadroproduction cross sections that were measured at the Tevatron and the LHC. Using values for the nonperturbative long-distance matrix elements that we extract from the cross-section fits, we make predictions for the polarizations of the quarkonium states. We obtain good agreement with measurements of the polarizations, with the exception of the CDF Run II measurement of the prompt $J/psi$ polarization, for which the agreement is only fair. In the predictions for the prompt-$J/psi$ cross sections and polarizations, we take into account feeddown from the $chi_{cJ}$ and $psi(2S)$ states.
We calculate the cross sections for the direct hadroproduction of J/psi and Upsilon associated with a heavy-quark pair of the same flavour at leading order in alpha_S and v in NRQCD. These processes provide an interesting signature that could be stud ied at the Tevatron and the LHC and also constitute a gauge-invariant subset of the NLO corrections to the inclusive hadroproduction of J/psi and Upsilon. We find that the fragmentation approximation commonly used to evaluate the contribution of these processes to the inclusive quarkonium production sizeably underestimates the exact calculation in the kinematical region accessible at the Tevatron. Both J/psi and Upsilon are predicted to be unpolarised, independently of their transverse momentum.
We analyze contributions to the heavy vector meson production with large transverse momentum in proton--proton and diffractive photon--proton scattering driven by an exchange of two Balitsky--Fadin--Kuraev--Lipatov Pomerons in the squared amplitudes. The Pomerons couple to a single parton and form a Pomeron loop closed by the vector meson impact factors. For the photon--proton case the diffractive cut of the Pomeron loop contributes, and for the inclusive hadroproduction one finds the loop with two cut Pomerons. We compute both of these Pomeron loop contributions and study in detail their properties. The results are then used to calculate the cross sections for diffractive $J/psi$ photoproduction with large transverse momentum at HERA and the correlated two Pomeron contribution for inclusive $J/psi$ and $Upsilon$ production cross sections at the LHC. Within a unified approach a good description of the photoproduction data is found, but correlated two Pomeron mechanism gives only a small contribution to hadroproduction of the vector mesons at the LHC.
