The paper Calorimetric Dark Matter Detection with Galactic Center Gas Clouds (Bhoonah et al. 2018) aims to derive limits on dark matter interactions by demanding that heat transfer due to DM interactions is less than that by astrophysical cooling, using clouds in the hot, high-velocity nuclear outflow wind of the Milky Way ($T_{wind} sim 10^{6-7}$ K, $V_{wind} sim$ 330 km/s). We argue that clouds in such an extreme environment cannot be assumed to be stable over the long timescales associated with their radiative cooling rates. Furthermore, Bhoonah et al. (2018) uses incorrect parameters for their clouds.
We investigate a neutral gauge boson X originated from a hidden U(1) extension of the standard model as the particle dark matter candidate. The vector dark matter interacts with the standard model fermions through heavy fermion mediators. The interac
The Fermi Large Area Telescope observed an excess in gamma ray emission spectrum coming from the center of the Milky Way galaxy. This data reveals that a light Dark Matter (DM) candidate of mass in the range 31-40 GeV, dominantly decaying into $bbar
The extended excess toward the Galactic Center (GC) in gamma rays inferred from Fermi-LAT observations has been interpreted as being due to dark matter (DM) annihilation. Here, we perform new likelihood analyses of the GC and show that, when includin
We show that the Galactic Center Excess (GCE) emission, as recently updated by the Fermi-LAT Collaboration, could be explained by the sum of Fermi-bubbles-like emission plus dark matter (DM) annihilation, in the context of a scalar-singlet Higgs port
We present a comprehensive review of keV-scale sterile neutrino Dark Matter, collecting views and insights from all disciplines involved - cosmology, astrophysics, nuclear, and particle physics - in each case viewed from both theoretical and experime
