It is known that a maximal intersection log canonical Calabi-Yau surface pair is crepant birational to a toric pair. This does not hold in higher dimension: this paper presents some examples of maximal intersection Calabi-Yau pairs that admit no toric model.
We generalize the cohomological mirror duality of Borcea and Voisin in any dimension and for any number of factors. Our proof applies to all examples which can be constructed through Berglund-H{u}bsch duality. Our method is a variant of the so-called
Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau correspondence of Calabi-Yau orbifolds with an involution that does not preserve the volume form. We deduce a version of mirror duality for the fixed loci of the involution, which are beyond the Calabi-Yau category and feature hypersurfaces of general type.
We first construct a derived equivalence between a small crepant resolution of an affine toric Calabi-Yau 3-fold and a certain quiver with a superpotential. Under this derived equivalence we establish a wall-crossing formula for the generating functi
on of the counting invariants of perverse coherent systems. As an application we provide certain equations on Donaldson-Thomas, Pandeharipande-Thomas and Szendrois invariants. Finally, we show that moduli spaces associated with a quiver given by successive mutations are realized as the moduli spaces associated the original quiver by changing the stability conditions.
We exhibit examples of pairs $(X,D)$ where $X$ is a smooth projective variety and $D$ is an anticanonical reduced simple normal crossing divisor such that the deformations of $(X,D)$ are obstructed. These examples are constructed via toric geometry.
The aim of this paper is to classify indecomposable rank 2 arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay (ACM) bundles on compete intersection Calabi-Yau (CICY) threefolds and prove the existence of some of them. New geometric properties of the curves corresponding
to rank 2 ACM bundles (by Serre correspondence) are obtained. These follow from minimal free resolutions of curves in suitably chosen fourfolds (containing Calabi-Yau threefolds as hypersurfaces). Also the existence of an indecomposable vector bundle of higher rank on a CICY threefold of type (2,4) is proved.
We prove a version of the Sarkisov program for volume preserving birational maps of Mori fibred Calabi-Yau pairs valid in all dimensions. Our theorem generalises the theorem of Usnich and Blanc on factorisations of birational maps of the 2-dimensional torus that preserve the canonical volume form.
