We experimentally observed the Mollow quintuplet (MQ) in F=3/2 hyperfine structure state of 3He atoms. The metastability-exchange collisions (MECs) transfer the Mollow Triplet (MT) from the ground states of 3He atoms to the metastable states, and the MQ is demonstrated by four Zeeman levels of F=3/2 hyperfine states with linearly polarized light. The similar effect also achieves in the mixture cell of 3He and 4He.

We study the dressed states of 3He atoms and experimentally observe the Mollow triplet (MT) induced with an ultra-low-frequency (ULF) oscillating magnetic field as low as 4 Hz. The ULF MT signatures from the ground states of 3He atoms are transferred to the metastable states by metastability-exchange collisions (MECs) and measured optically, which demonstrates 2 s coherence time in the dressed ground states. The result shows the possibility of ULF magnetic field amplitude measurement and a new scheme for optical frequency modulation.
Quantum memory will be a key component in future quantum networks, and atomic frequency combs (AFCs) in rare-earth-doped crystals are one promising platform for realizing this technology. We theoretically and experimentally investigate the formation of AFCs in Pr3+:Y2SiO5, with an overall bandwidth of 120 MHz and tooth spacing ranging from 0.1 MHz to 20 MHz, showing agreement between our calculations and measurements. We observe that the echo efficiency depends crucially on the AFC tooth spacing. Our results suggest approaches to developing a high-efficiency AFC quantum memory.
On the basis of the perturbation theory in the fine structure constant $alpha$ and the ratio of the electron to muon masses we calculate one-loop vacuum polarization and electron vertex corrections and the nuclear structure corrections to the hyperfi ne splitting of the ground state of muonic helium atom $(mu e ^3_2He)$. We obtain total result for the ground state hyperfine splitting $Delta u^{hfs}=4166.471$ MHz which improves the previous calculation of Lakdawala and Mohr due to the account of new corrections of orders $alpha^5$ and $alpha^6$. The remaining difference between our theoretical result and experimental value of the hyperfine splitting lies in the range of theoretical and experimental errors and requires the subsequent investigation of higher order corrections.
Measurements of hyperfine polarization quantum beats are used determine the magnetic dipole (A) and electric quadrupole (B) coupling constants in the excited atomic Cs 8p level. The experimental approach is a novel combination of pulsed optical pumpi ng and time-delayed stimulated emission probing of the excited level. From the measured evolution of the atomic linear polarization degree as a function of probe delay time, we determine the hyperfine coupling constants A = 7.42(6) MHz and B = 0.14(29) MHz.
The magnetic hyperfine structure constants have been calculated for low-lying levels in neutral gold atom and gold-like ion of mercury taking into account Bohr--Weisskopf (BW) effect. BW effect is represented as a product of atomic and nuclear ($d_ma thrm{nuc}$) factors. We have calculated the atomic factors, which enable one to extract BW-correction values for far from stability gold nuclei from the experimental data. The possible uncertainty of our atomic calculations have been estimated by the comparison with the available experimental data. It has been shown that the standard single-particle approach in $d_mathrm{nuc}$ calculation reasonably well describes experimental data for $11/2^-$ gold isomers and $3/2^+$ ground state of $rm ^{199}Au$. At the same time, it fails to describe the hyperfine constant in $^{197}mathrm{Au}$. This indicates the more pronounced configuration mixing in $rm ^{197}Au$ than in $rm ^{199}Au$.
