This paper presents a new general framework of information hiding, in which the hidden information is embedded into a collection of activities conducted by selected human and computer entities (e.g., a number of online accounts of one or more online social networks) in a selected digital world. Different from other traditional schemes, where the hidden information is embedded into one or more selected or generated cover objects, in the new framework the hidden information is embedded in the fact that some particular digital activities with some particular attributes took place in some particular ways in the receiver-observable digital world. In the new framework the concept of cover almost disappears, or one can say that now the whole digital world selected becomes the cover. The new framework can find applications in both security (e.g., steganography) and non-security domains (e.g., gaming). For security applications we expect that the new framework calls for completely new steganalysis techniques, which are likely more complicated, less effective and less efficient than existing ones due to the need to monitor and analyze the whole digital world constantly and in real time. A proof-of-concept system was developed as a mobile app based on Twitter activities to demonstrate the information hiding framework works. We are developing a more hybrid system involving several online social networks.

The growing potential of modern communications needs the use of secure means to protect information from unauthorized access and use during transmission. In general, encryption a message using cryptography techniques and then hidden a message with a steganography methods provides an additional layer of protection. Furthermore, using these combination reduces the chance of finding the hidden message. This paper proposed a system which combines schemes of cryptography with steganography for hiding secret messages and to add more complexity for steganography. The proposed system secret message encoded with chaotic stream cipher and afterwards the encoded data is hidden behind an RGB or Gray cover image by modifying the kth least significant bits (k-LSB) of cover image pixels. The resultant stego-image less distorters. After which can be used by the recipient to extract that bit-plane of the image. In fact, the schemes of encryption/decryption and embedding/ extracting in the proposed system depends upon two shred secret keys between the sender and the receiver. An experiment shows that using an unauthorized secret keys between the sender and the receiver have totally different messages from the original ones which improve the confidentiality of the images.
In this paper, a new framework for construction of Cardan grille for information hiding is proposed. Based on the semantic image inpainting technique, the stego image are driven by secret messages directly. A mask called Digital Cardan Grille (DCG) f or determining the hidden location is introduced to hide the message. The message is written to the corrupted region that needs to be filled in the corrupted image in advance. Then the corrupted image with secret message is feeded into a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) for semantic completion. The adversarial game not only reconstruct the corrupted image , but also generate a stego image which contains the logic rationality of image content. The experimental results verify the feasibility of the proposed method.
A digital micromirror device (DMD) is an amplitude-type spatial light modulator. However, a complex-amplitude light modulation with a DMD can be achieved using the superpixel scheme. In the superpixel scheme, we notice that multiple different DMD loc al block patterns may correspond to the same complex superpixel value. Based on this inherent encoding redundancy, a large amount of external data can be embedded into the DMD pattern without extra cost. Meanwhile, the original complex light field information carried by the DMD pattern is fully preserved. This proposed scheme is favorable for applications such as secure information transmission and copyright protection.
The decentralization, redundancy, and pseudo-anonymity features have made permission-less public blockchain platforms attractive for adoption as technology platforms for cryptocurrencies. However, such adoption has enabled cybercriminals to exploit v ulnerabilities in blockchain platforms and target the users through social engineering to carry out malicious activities. Most of the state-of-the-art techniques for detecting malicious actors depend on the transactional behavior of individual wallet addresses but do not analyze the money trails. We propose a heuristics-based approach that adds new features associated with money trails to analyze and find suspicious activities in cryptocurrency blockchains. Here, we focus only on the cyclic behavior and identify hidden patterns present in the temporal transactions graphs in a blockchain. We demonstrate our methods on the transaction data of the Ethereum blockchain. We find that malicious activities (such as Gambling, Phishing, and Money Laundering) have different cyclic patterns in Ethereum. We also identify two suspicious temporal cyclic path-based transfers in Ethereum. Our techniques may apply to other cryptocurrency blockchains with appropriate modifications adapted to the nature of the crypto-currency under investigation.
Digital watermarking is the act of hiding information in multimedia data, for the purposes of content protection or authentication. In ordinary digital watermarking, the secret information is embedded into the multimedia data (cover data) with minimu m distortion of the cover data. Due to these watermarking techniques the watermark image is almost negligible visible. In this paper we will discuss about various techniques of Digital Watermarking techniques in spatial and frequency domains
