Magnetic bubbles are topologically spin textures that offering the interesting physics and great promise for next-generation information storage technologies. The main obstacles so far are that magnetic bubbles are generated with no field stimuli in new material systems at room temperature. Here, we report the observation of individual magnetic bubbles and its high frequency measurement at room temperature in an exchange-coupled [Co/Pd]4/Py multilayers. We demonstrate that the emergence of magnetic bubbles at remanence can be tuned by the in-plane tilted magnetic field (roughly 3{deg}) along the film plane at room temperature. High frequency results indicate that the presence of magnetic bubbles leads to broadening of the magnetic permeability spectrum lines (due to the non-uniformity of the magnetic moments). Our findings open the door to the bubble-based spintronics at room temperature in exchange-coupled magnetic multilayers.
Understanding the Gilbert damping in exchange-coupled multilayer materials is particularly important to develop future fast switching spintronics devices. Here, we report an experimental investigation of temperature-dependent Gilbert damping in [Co/P
Depth-grading of magnetic anisotropy in perpendicular magnetic media has been predicted to reduce the field required to write data without sacrificing thermal stability. To study this prediction, we have produced Co/Pd multilayers with depth-dependen
The magnetic properties of (111)-oriented Rh/Co/Pt and Pd/Co/Pt multilayers are investigated by first-principles calculations. We focus on the interlayer exchange coupling, and identify thicknesses and composition where a typical ferromagnet or a syn
The effects of hydrogen (H2) and deuterium (D2) absorption were studied in two Co/Pd multilayers with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) using polarized neutron reflectivity (PNR). PNR was measured in an external magnetic field H applied in the
Since the first experimental observation of all-optical switching phenomena, intensive research has been focused on finding suitable magnetic systems that can be integrated as storage elements within spintronic devices and whose magnetization can be
