First some definite integrals of W. H. L. Russell, almost all with trigonometric function integrands, are derived, and many generalized. Then a list is given in Russell-style of generalizations of integral identities of Amdeberhan and Moll. We conclude with a brief and noncomprehensive description of directions for further investigation, including the significant generalization to elliptic functions.

An operatorial method, already employed to formulate a generalization of the Ramanujan master theorem, is applied to the evaluation of integrals of various type. This technique provide a very flexible and powerful tool yielding new results encompassing various aspects of the special function theory.
Using the character expansion method, we generalize several well-known integrals over the unitary group to the case where general complex matrices appear in the integrand. These integrals are of interest in the theory of random matrices and may also find applications in lattice gauge theory.
Knotted solutions to electromagnetism are investigated as an independent subsector of the theory. We write down a Lagrangian and a Hamiltonian formulation of Batemans construction for the knotted electromagnetic solutions. We introduce a general defi nition of the null condition and generalize the construction of Maxwells theory to massless free complex scalar, its dual two form field, and to a massless DBI scalar. We set up the framework for quantizing the theory both in a path integral approach, as well as the canonical Dirac method for a constrained system. We make several observations about the semi-classical quantization of systems of null configurations.
We show how polynomial mappings of degree k from a union of disjoint intervals onto [-1,1] generate a countable number of special cases of a certain generalization of the Chebyshev Polynomials. We also derive a new expression for these generalized Ch ebyshev Polynomials for any number of disjoint intervals from which the coefficients of x^n can be found explicitly in terms of the end points and the recurrence coefficients. We find that this representation is useful for specializing to the polynomial mapping cases for small k where we will have algebraic expressions for the recurrence coefficients in terms of the end points. We study in detail certain special cases of the polynomials for small k and prove a theorem concerning the location of the zeroes of the polynomials. We also derive an expression for the discriminant for the case of two intervals that is valid for any configuration of the end points.

We identify the Taylor coefficients of the transfer matrices corresponding to quantum toroidal algebras with the elliptic local and non-local integrals of motion introduced by Kojima, Shiraishi, Watanabe, and one of the authors. That allows us to p rove the Litvinov conjectures on the Intermediate Long Wave model. We also discuss the (gl(m),gl(n)) duality of XXZ models in quantum toroidal setting and the implications for the quantum KdV model. In particular, we conjecture that the spectrum of non-local integrals of motion of Bazhanov, Lukyanov, and Zamolodchikov is described by Gaudin Bethe ansatz equations associated to affine sl(2).
