We have conducted an interferometric line survey in the 0.8 mm band toward the young high-mass protostar candidate NGC 2264 CMM3 with ALMA. CMM3 is resolved into the two continuum peaks, CMM3A and CMM3B, at an angular separation of 0.9. Thus, CMM3 is found to be a binary system candidate. We have detected molecular outflows associated with CMM3A and CMM3B each, indicating active star formation. In addition to the two peaks, six faint continuum peaks are detected around CMM3A and CMM3B, most of which are thought to be evolved low-mass protostars. CMM3A is found to be rich in molecular line emission including complex organic molecules such as HCOOCH3 and CH3OCH3. The emission of complex organic molecules is distributed within a compact region around the continuum peak of CMM3A. Hence, CMM3A apparently harbors a hot core. On the other hand, CMM3B is deficient in molecular line emission, although its continuum flux is almost comparable to that of CMM3A. Possible origins of the striking difference between CMM3A and CMM3B are discussed.

We have observed the young protostellar system NGC 2264 CMM3 in the 1.3 mm and 2.0 mm bands at a resolution of about 0.1$$ (70 au) with ALMA. The structures of two distinct components, CMM3A and CMM3B, are resolved in the continuum images of both ban ds. CMM3A has an elliptical structure extending along the direction almost perpendicular to the known outflow, while CMM3B reveals a round shape. We have fitted two 2D-Gaussian components to the elliptical structure of CMM3A and CMM3B, and have separated the disk and envelope components for each source. The spectral index $alpha$ between 2.0 mm and 0.8 mm is derived to be 2.4-2.7 and 2.4-2.6 for CMM3A and CMM3B, respectively, indicating the optically thick dust emission and/or the grain growth. A velocity gradient in the disk/envelope direction is detected for CMM3A in the CH$_3$CN, CH$_3$OH, and $^{13}$CH$_3$OH lines detected in the 1.3 mm band, which can be interpreted as the rotation of the disk/envelope system. From this result, the protostellar mass of CMM3A is roughly evaluated to be $0.1- 0.5$ $M_odot$ by assuming Keplerian rotation. The mass accretion rate is thus estimated to be $5times10^{-5}$ - 4 $times$ $10^{-3}$ $M_odot$ yr$^{-1}$, which is higher than typical mass accretion rate of low-mass protostars. The OCS emission line shows a velocity gradient in both outflow direction and disk/envelope direction. A hint of outflow rotation is found, and the specific angular momentum of the outflow is estimated to be comparable to that of the disk. These results provide us with novel information on the initial stage of a binary/multiple system.
Spectral line survey observations are conducted toward the high-mass protostar candidate NGC 2264 CMM3 in the 4 mm, 3 mm, and 0.8 mm bands with the Nobeyama 45 m telescope and the Atacama Submillimeter Telescope Experiment (ASTE) 10 m telescope. In t otal, 265 emission lines are detected in the 4 mm and 3 mm bands, and 74 emission lines in the 0.8 mm band. As a result, 36 molecular species and 30 isotopologues are identified. In addition to the fundamental molecular species, many emission lines of carbon-chain molecules such as HC5N, C4H, CCS, and C3S are detected in the 4 mm and 3 mm bands. Deuterated molecular species are also detected with relatively strong intensities. On the other hand, emission lines of complex organic molecules such as HCOOCH3, and CH3OCH3 are found to be weak. For the molecules for which multiple transitions are detected, rotation temperatures are derived to be 7-33 K except for CH3OH. Emission lines with high upper-state energies (Eu > 150 K) are detected for CH3OH, indicating existence of a hot core. In comparison with the chemical composition of the Orion KL, carbon-chain molecules and deuterated molecules are found to be abundant in NGC 2264 CMM3, while sulfur-bearing species and complex organic molecules are deficient. These characteristics indicate chemical youth of NGC 2264 CMM3 in spite of its location at the center of the cluster forming core, NGC 2264 C.

NGC 4945 is one of the nearest (~3.8 Mpc; 1 ~ 19 pc) starburst galaxies. ALMA band 3 (3--4,mm) observations of HCN, HCO+, CS, C3H2, SiO, HCO, and CH3C2H were carried out with ~2 resolution. The lines reveal a rotating nuclear disk of projected size 1 0 x 2 with position angle ~45 deg, inclination ~75 deg and an unresolved bright central core of size <2.5. The continuum source (mostly free-free radiation) is more compact than the nuclear disk by a linear factor of two but shows the same position angle and is centered 0.39 +_ 0.14 northeast of the nuclear accretion disk defined by H2O maser emission. Outside the nuclear disk, both HCN and CS delineate molecular arms on opposite sides of the dynamical center. These are connected by a (deprojected) 0.6 kpc sized molecular bridge, likely a dense gaseous bar seen almost ends-on, shifting gas from the front and back side into the nuclear disk. Modeling this nuclear disk located farther inside <100 pc) with tilted rings indicates a coplanar outflow reaching a characteristic deprojectd velocity of ~50 km/s. All our molecular lines, with the notable exception of CH3C2H, show significant absorption near the systemic velocity (~571 km/s), within a range of ~500-660 km/s. Apparently, only molecular transitions with low critical H2-density do not show absorption. The velocity field of the nuclear disk, derived from CH3C2H, provides evidence for rigid rotation in the inner few arcseconds and a dynamical mass of M = (2.1+_0.2) x 10^8 Mo inside a galactocentric radius of 2.45, with a significantly flattened rotation curve farther out. Velocity integrated line intensity maps with most pronounced absorption show molecular peak positions up to 1.5 southwest of the continuum peak, presumably due to absorption, which appears to be most severe slightly northeast of the nuclear maser disk.
We present 1.3mm Submillimeter Array (SMA) observations at $sim$3$^{primeprime}$ resolution towards the brightest section of the intermediate/massive star forming cluster NGC 2264-C. The millimetre continuum emission reveals ten 1.3mm continuum peaks , of which four are new detections. The observed frequency range includes the known molecular jet/outflow tracer SiO (5-4), thus providing the first high resolution observations of SiO towards NGC 2264-C. We also detect molecular lines of twelve additional species towards this region, including CH$_3$CN, CH$_3$OH, SO, H$_2$CO, DCN, HC$_3$N, and $^{12}$CO. The SiO (5-4) emission reveals the presence of two collimated, high velocity (up to 30kms$^{-1}$ with respect to the systemic velocity) bi-polar outflows in NGC 2264-C. In addition, the outflows are traced by emission from $^{12}$CO, SO, H$_2$CO, and CH$_3$OH. We find an evolutionary spread between cores residing in the same parent cloud. The two unambiguous outflows are driven by the brightest mm continuum cores, which are IR-dark, molecular line weak, and likely the youngest cores in the region. Furthermore, towards the RMS source AFGL 989-IRS1, the IR-bright and most evolved source in NGC 2264-C, we observe no molecular outflow emission. A molecular line rich ridge feature, with no obvious directly associated continuum source, lies on the edge of a low density cavity and may be formed from a wind driven by AFGL 989-IRS1. In addition, 229GHz class I maser emission is detected towards this feature.

We announce a new facility in the spectral code CLOUDY that enables tracking the evolution of a cooling parcel of gas with time. For gas cooling from temperatures relevant to galaxy clusters, earlier calculations estimated the [Fe XIV] {lambda}5303 / [Fe X] {lambda}6375 luminosity ratio, a critical diagnostic of a cooling plasma, to slightly less than unity. By contrast, our calculations predict a ratio ~3. We revisit recent optical coronal line observations along the X-ray cool arc around NGC 4696 by Canning et al. (2011), which detected [Fe X] {lambda}6375, but not [Fe XIV] {lambda}5303. We show that these observations are not consistent with predictions of cooling flow models. Differential extinction could in principle account for the observations, but it requires extinction levels (A_V > 3.625) incompatible with previous observations. The non-detection of [Fe XIV] implies a temperature ceiling of 2.1 million K. Assuming cylindrical geometry and transonic turbulent pressure support, we estimate the gas mass at ~1 million solar masses. The coronal gas is cooling isochorically. We propose that the coronal gas has not condensed out of the intracluster medium, but instead is the conductive or mixing interface between the X-ray plume and the optical filaments. We present a number of emission lines that may be pursued to test this hypothesis and constrain the amount of intermediate temperature gas in the system.
