We show that the dual partition function of the pure $mathcal N=2$ $SU(2)$ gauge theory in the self-dual $Omega$-background (a) is given by Fredholm determinant of a generalized Bessel kernel and (b) coincides with the tau function associated to the general solution of the Painleve III equation of type $D_8$ (radial sine-Gordon equation). In particular, the principal minor expansion of the Fredholm determinant yields Nekrasov combinatorial sums over pairs of Young diagrams.

We consider a construction of observables by using methods of supersymmetric field theories. In particular, we give an extension of AKSZ-type observables using the Batalin-Vilkovisky structure of AKSZ theories to a formal global version with methods of formal geometry. We will consider the case where the AKSZ theory is split which will give an explicit construction for formal vector fields on base and fiber within the formal global action. Moreover, we consider the example of formal global generalized Wilson surface observables whose expectation values are invariants of higher-dimensional knots by using $BF$ field theory. These constructions give rise to interesting global gauge conditions such as the differential Quantum Master Equation and further extensions.
We study the equation of state of pure SU($2$) gauge theory using Monte Carlo simulations. The scale-setting of lattice parameters has been carried by using the gradient flow. We propose a reference scale $t_0$ for the SU($2$) gauge theory satisfying $t^2 langle E rangle|_{t=t_0} =0.1$, which is fixed by a natural scaling-down of the standard $t_0$-scale for the SU($3$) case based on perturbative analyses. We also show the thermodynamic quantities as a function of $T/T_c$, which are derived by the energy-momentum tensor using the small flow-time expansion of the gradient flow.
We present the scale-setting function and the equation of state of the pure SU(2) gauge theory using the gradient flow method. We propose a reference scale t0 for the SU(2) gauge theory satisfying $t^2langle E rangle|_{t=t_0} = 0.1$. This reference v alue is fixed by a natural scaling-down of the standard t0-scale for the SU(3) gauge theory based on the perturbative analyses. We also show the thermodynamic quantities as a function of $T/T_c$, which are derived by the energy-momentum tensor using the small flow time expansion of the gradient flow.
In recent years, attempts to generalize lattice gauge theories to model topological order have been carried out through the so called $2$-gauge theories. These have opened the door to interesting new models and new topological phases which are not de scribed by previous schemes of classification. In this paper we show that we can go beyond the $2$-gauge construction when considering chain complexes of abelian groups. Based on elements of homological algebra we are able to greatly simplify already known constructions for abelian theories under a single all encompassing framework. Furthermore, this formalism allows us to systematize the computation of the corresponding topological degeneracies of the ground states and establishes a connection between them and a known cohomology, which conveniently characterizes them with a suitable set of quantum numbers.
The Olbertian partition function is reformulated in terms of continuous (Abelian) fields described by the Landau-Ginzburg action, respectively Hamiltonian. In order do make some progress, the Gaussian approximation to the partition function is transf ormed into the Olbertian prior to adding the quartic Landau-Ginzburg term in the Hamiltonian. The final result is provided in the form of an expansion suitable for application of diagrammatic techniques once the nature of the field is given, i.e. once the field equations are written down such that the interactions can be formulated.
