We study constraints and implications of the recent LHCb measurement of ${cal B}(B_s to mu^+mu^-)$ for tree-level Higgs-mediated flavor-changing neutral current (FCNC) interactions. Combined with experimental data on $B_s$ mass difference $Delta m_s$, the $h to mu tau$, and the $h to tau^+tau^-$ decay branching ratios from the LHC, we find that the Higgs FCNC couplings are severely constrained. The allowed regions for $B_s to mu tau$, $tautau$ and $h to sb$ decays are obtained. Current data allow large CP violation in the $h to tau^+ tau^-$ decay. Consequences of the Cheng-Sher ansatz for the Higgs Yukawa couplings are discussed in some detail.

The pure leptonic decay B_s -> mu mu is strongly suppressed in the Standard Model (SM), but can have large enhancements in Supersymmetry, especially at large values of tanbe. New limits on this decay channel from recent LHC data have been used to cla im that these limits restrict the SUSY parameter space even more than the direct searches. However, direct searches are hardly dependent on tanbe, while BR(B_s -> mu mu) is proportional to tanbe^6. The relic density constraint requires large tanbe in a large region of the parameter space, which can lead to large values of B_s -> mu mu. Nevertheless, the experimental upper limit on BR(B_s -> mu mu) is not constraining the parameter space of the CMSSM more than the direct searches and the present Higgs limits, if combined with the relic density. We also observe SUSY parameter regions with negative interferences, where the B_s -> mu mu value is up to a factor three below the SM expectation, even at large values of tanbe.
In recent times, several discrepancies at the level of $(2-3)sigma$ have been observed in the decay processes mediated by flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) transitions $b to s ell^+ ell^-$, which may be considered as the smoking-gun signal of N ew Physics (NP). These intriguing hints of NP have attracted a lot of attention and many attempts are made to look for the possible NP signature in other related processes, which are mediated through the same quark-level transitions. In this work, we perform a comprehensive analysis of the FCNC decays of $B$ meson to axial vector mesons $ K_1(1270)$ and $ K_1(1400)$, which are admixture of the $1^3P_1$ and $1^1P_1$ states $K_{1A}$ and $K_{1B}$, in a model independent framework. Using the $ B to K_1$ form factors evaluated in the light cone sum rule approach, we investigate the rare exclusive semileptonic decays $ B to K_1(1270) mu^+ mu^-$ and $ B to K_1(1400) mu^+ mu^-$. Considering all the possible relevant operators for $b to s ell^+ ell^-$ transitions, we study their effects on various observables such as branching fractions, lepton flavor universality violating ratio ($R_{K_1})$, forward-backward asymmetries, and lepton polarization asymmetries of these processes. These results will not only enhance the theoretical understanding of the mixing angle but also serve as a good tool for probing New Physics.
The shape of the $B_s^0rightarrow D_s^{*-}mu^+ u_{mu}$ differential decay rate is obtained as a function of the hadron recoil using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb $^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb detector. The $B_s^0rightarrow D_s^{*-}mu^+ u_{mu}$ decay is reconstructed through the decays $D_s^{*-}rightarrow D_s^{-}gamma$ and $D_s^{-}rightarrow K^-K^+pi^-$. The differential decay rate is fitted with the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed (BGL) parametrisations of the form factors, and the relevant quantities for both are extracted.
The element $|V_{cb}|$ of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix is measured using semileptonic $B_s^0$ decays produced in proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an inte grated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$. Rates of $B_s^0 to D_s^{-} mu^+ u_{mu}$ and $B_s^0 to D_s^{*-} mu^+ u_{mu}$ decays are analyzed using hadronic form-factor parametrizations derived either by Caprini, Lellouch and Neubert (CLN) or by Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL). The measured values of $|V_{cb}|$ are ${(41.4 pm 0.6 pm 0.9 pm 1.2)times 10^{-3}}$ and ${(42.3 pm 0.8 pm 0.9 pm 1.2)times 10^{-3}}$ in the CLN and BGL parametrization, respectively. The first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the external inputs used in the measurement. These results are in agreement with those obtained from decays of $B^+$ and $B^0$ mesons. They are the first determinations of $|V_{cb}|$ at a hadron-collider experiment and the first using $B_s^0$ meson decays.
The process e^+e^- ->mu^+mu^- has been studied with SND detector at VEPP-2M e^+e^- collider in the vicinity of phi(1020) resonance. The product of branching ratios of phi meson into leptons sqrt{B(phi->mu^+mu^-) B(phi-> e^+e^-)}=(3.14+-0.22+-0.14)x10 ^{-4} was measured from the interference in the cross section of the process e^+e^- ->mu^+mu^-. The branching ratio B(phi->mu^+mu^-)=(3.30+-0.45+-0.32)x10^{-4} was obtained.
