The multiple colliding laser pulse concept formulated in Ref. [1] is beneficial for achieving an extremely high amplitude of coherent electromagnetic field. Since the topology of electric and magnetic fields oscillating in time of multiple colliding laser pulses is far from trivial and the radiation friction effects are significant in the high field limit, the dynamics of charged particles interacting with the multiple colliding laser pulses demonstrates remarkable features corresponding to random walk trajectories, limit circles, attractors, regular patterns and Levy flights. Under extremely high intensity conditions the nonlinear dissipation mechanism stabilizes the particle motion resulting in the charged particle trajectory being located within narrow regions and in the occurrence of a new class of regular patterns made by the particle ensembles.
The radiation reaction radically influences the electron motion in an electromagnetic standing wave formed by two super-intense counter-propagating laser pulses. Depending on the laser intensity and wavelength, either classical or quantum mode of rad
Levy walk is a fundamental model with applications ranging from quantum physics to paths of animal foraging. Taking animal foraging as an example, a natural idea that comes to ones mind is to introduce the multiple internal states for dealing with th
We consider one-dimensional discrete-time random walks (RWs) with arbitrary symmetric and continuous jump distributions $f(eta)$, including the case of Levy flights. We study the expected maximum ${mathbb E}[M_n]$ of bridge RWs, i.e., RWs starting an
Accelerating electrons are known to radiate electromagnetic waves, a property that is central to the concept of many devices, from antennas to synchrotrons. While the electrodynamics of accelerating charged particles is well understood, the same is n
A signal processing method designed for the detection of linear (coherent) behaviors among random fluctuations is presented. It is dedicated to the study of data recorded from nonlinear physical systems. More precisely the method is suited for signal
