The end of inflation is connected to the standard cosmological scenario through reheating. During reheating, the inflaton oscillates around the minimum of the potential and thus decays into the daughter particles that populate the Universe at later times. Using cosmological evolution for observable CMB scales from the time of Hubble crossing to the present time, we translate the constraint on the spectral index $n_s$ from Planck data to the constraint on the reheating scenario in the context of Kahler Moduli Inflation. In addition, we extend the de-facto analysis generally done only for the pivot scale to all the observable scales which crossed the Hubble radius during inflation. We study how the maximum number of e-folds varies for different scales, and the effect of the equation of state and potential parameters.

In this talk, I discuss the effects, viability, and predictions of the string-theory-motivated Kahler Moduli Inflation I (KMII) potential, coupled to a light scalar field $chi$, which can provide a possible source for todays dark energy density due t o the potentials non-vanishing minimum. Although the model is consistent with the current measured Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) data, tighter constraints from future observations are required to test the viability of the KMII potential with its minimum equivalent to the observed cosmological constants energy density $rho_{Lambda_{mathrm{obs}}}$. We implement a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) sampling method to compute the allowed model parameter ranges and bounds on the inflatons mass $m_{phi}$ and reheating temperature $T_{mathrm{reh}}$. Additionally, our lattice simulations predict stochastic gravitational-wave backgrounds generated during the inflaton oscillations that would be observable today in the $10^{9}$-$10^{11} , mathrm{Hz}$ frequency range. All the results and details will be included in our upcoming paper with the same title.
We show that double inflation is naturally realized in Kahler moduli inflation, which is caused by moduli associated with string compactification. We find that there is a small coupling between the two inflatons which leads to amplification of pertur bations through parametric resonance in the intermediate stage of double inflation. This results in the appearance of a peak in the power spectrum of the primordial curvature perturbation. We numerically calculate the power spectrum and show that the power spectrum can have a peak on observationally interesing scales. We also compute the TT-spectrum of CMB based on the power spectrum with a peak and see that it better fits WMAP 7-years data.
We investigate a constraint on reheating followed by alpha-attractor-type inflation (the E-model and T-model) from an observation of the spectral index n_s. When the energy density of the universe is dominated by an energy component with the cosmic e quation-of-state parameter w_{re} during reheating, its e-folding number N_{re} and the reheating temperature T_{re} are bounded depending on w_{re}. When the reheating epoch consists of two phases, where the energy density of the universe is dominated by uniform inflaton field oscillations in the first phase and by relativistic non-thermalised particles in the second phase, we find a constraint on the e-folding number of the first oscillation phase, N_{sc}, depending the parameters of the inflaton potential. For the simplest perturbative reheating scenario, we find the lower bound for a coupling constant of inflaton decay in the E-model and T-model depending on the model parameters. We also find a constraint on the $alpha$ parameter, alphasimgt 0.01, for the T-model and E-model when we assume a broad resonance reheating scenario.

The inclusion of Dirac fermions in Einstein-Cartan gravity leads to a four-fermion interaction mediated by non-propagating torsion, which can allow for the formation of a Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer condensate. By considering a simplified model in 2+1 spacetime dimensions, we show that even without an excess of fermions over antifermions, the nonthermal distribution arising from preheating after inflation can give rise to a fermion condensate generated by torsion. We derive the effective Lagrangian for the spacetime-dependent pair field describing the condensate in the extreme cases of nonrelativistic and massless fermions, and show that it satisfies the Gross-Pitaevski equation for a gapless, propagating mode.
We study a scale-invariant model of quadratic gravity with a non-minimally coupled scalar field. We focus on cosmological solutions and find that scale invariance is spontaneously broken and a mass scale naturally emerges. Before the symmetry breakin g, the Universe undergoes an inflationary expansion with nearly the same observational predictions of Starobinskys model. At the end of inflation, the Hubble parameter and the scalar field converge to a stable fixed point through damped oscillations and the usual Einstein-Hilbert action is recovered. The oscillations around the fixed point can reheat the Universe in various ways and we study in detail some of these possibilities.
