The extension of the singular perturbative approach to the second order is presented in this paper. The general expansion to the second order is derived. The second order expansion is considered as a small correction to the first order expansion. Using this approach it is demonstrated that the second order expansion is reducible to a first order expansion via a re-definition of the first order pertubative fields. Even if in practice the second order correction is small the reducibility of the second order expansion to the first order expansion indicates a degeneracy problem. In general this degeneracy is hard to break. A useful and simple second order approximation is the thin source approximation which offers a direct estimation of the correction. The practical application of the corrections derived in this paper are illustrated by using an elliptical NFW lens model. The second order pertubative expansion provides a noticeable improvement, even for the simplest case of thin source approximation. To conclude it is clear that for accurate modelisation of gravitational lenses using the perturbative method the second order perturbative expansion should be considered. In particular an evaluation of the degeneracy due to the second order term should be performed, for which the thin source approximation is particularly useful.

We construct Greens functions for second order parabolic operators of the form $Pu=partial_t u-{rm div}({bf A} abla u+ boldsymbol{b}u)+ boldsymbol{c} cdot abla u+du$ in $(-infty, infty) times Omega$, where $Omega$ is an open connected set in $mathb b{R}^n$. It is not necessary that $Omega$ to be bounded and $Omega = mathbb{R}^n$ is not excluded. We assume that the leading coefficients $bf A$ are bounded and measurable and the lower order coefficients $boldsymbol{b}$, $boldsymbol{c}$, and $d$ belong to critical mixed norm Lebesgue spaces and satisfy the conditions $d-{rm div} boldsymbol{b} ge 0$ and ${rm div}(boldsymbol{b}-boldsymbol{c}) ge 0$. We show that the Greens function has the Gaussian bound in the entire $(-infty, infty) times Omega$.

This paper is concerned with higher Holder regularity for viscosity solutions to non-translation invariant second order integro-PDEs, compared to cite{mou2018}. We first obtain $C^{1,alpha}$ regularity estimates for fully nonlinear integro-PDEs. We t hen prove the Schauder estimates for solutions if the equation is convex.
Convolutional Neural Networks (ConvNets) are one of the most promising methods for identifying strong gravitational lens candidates in survey data. We present two ConvNet lens-finders which we have trained with a dataset composed of real galaxies fro m the Kilo Degree Survey (KiDS) and simulated lensed sources. One ConvNet is trained with single textit{r}-band galaxy images, hence basing the classification mostly on the morphology. While the other ConvNet is trained on textit{g-r-i} composite images, relying mostly on colours and morphology. We have tested the ConvNet lens-finders on a sample of 21789 Luminous Red Galaxies (LRGs) selected from KiDS and we have analyzed and compared the results with our previous ConvNet lens-finder on the same sample. The new lens-finders achieve a higher accuracy and completeness in identifying gravitational lens candidates, especially the single-band ConvNet. Our analysis indicates that this is mainly due to improved simulations of the lensed sources. In particular, the single-band ConvNet can select a sample of lens candidates with $sim40%$ purity, retrieving 3 out of 4 of the confirmed gravitational lenses in the LRG sample. With this particular setup and limited human intervention, it will be possible to retrieve, in future surveys such as Euclid, a sample of lenses exceeding in size the total number of currently known gravitational lenses.
We present a sample of 16 likely strong gravitational lenses identified in the VST Optical Imaging of the CDFS and ES1 fields (VOICE survey) using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). We train two different CNNs on composite images produced by super imposing simulated gravitational arcs on real Luminous Red Galaxies observed in VOICE. Specifically, the first CNN is trained on single-band images and more easily identifies systems with large Einstein radii, while the second one, trained on composite RGB images, is more accurate in retrieving systems with smaller Einstein radii. We apply both networks to real data from the VOICE survey, taking advantage of the high limiting magnitude (26.1 in the r-band) and low PSF FWHM (0.8 in the r-band) of this deep survey. We analyse $sim21,200$ images with $mag_r<21.5$, identifying 257 lens candidates. To retrieve a high-confidence sample and to assess the accuracy of our technique, nine of the authors perform a visual inspection. Roughly 75% of the systems are classified as likely lenses by at least one of the authors. Finally, we assemble the LIVE sample (Lenses In VoicE) composed by the 16 systems passing the chosen grading threshold. Three of these candidates show likely lensing features when observed by the Hubble Space Telescope. This work represents a further confirmation of the ability of CNNs to inspect large samples of galaxies searching for gravitational lenses. These algorithms will be crucial to exploit the full scientific potential of forthcoming surveys with the Euclid satellite and the Vera Rubin Observatory

We consider a machine learning algorithm to detect and identify strong gravitational lenses on sky images. First, we simulate different artificial but very close to reality images of galaxies, stars and strong lenses, using six different methods, i.e . two for each class. Then we deploy a convolutional neural network architecture to classify these simulated images. We show that after neural network training process one achieves about 93 percent accuracy. As a simple test for the efficiency of the convolutional neural network, we apply it on an real Einstein cross image. Deployed neural network classifies it as gravitational lens, thus opening a way for variety of lens search applications of the deployed machine learning scheme.
