Hurwitz spaces parameterizing covers of the Riemann sphere can be equipped with a Frobenius structure. In this review, we recall the construction of such Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds as well as the correspondence between semisimple Frobenius manifolds and the topological recursion formalism. We then apply this correspondence to Hurwitz Frobenius manifolds by explaining that the corresponding primary invariants can be obtained as periods of multidifferentials globally defined on a compact Riemann surface by topological recursion. Finally, we use this construction to reply to the following question in a large class of cases: given a compact Riemann surface, what does the topological recursion compute?

In this paper, we explicitly prove that statistical manifolds, related to exponential families and with flat structure connection have a Frobenius manifold structure. This latter object, at the interplay of beautiful interactions between topology and quantum field theory, raises natural questions, concerning the existence of Gromov--Witten invariants for those statistical manifolds. We prove that an analog of Gromov--Witten invariants for those statistical manifolds (GWS) exists. Similarly to its original version, these new invariants have a geometric interpretation concerning intersection points of para-holomorphic curves. However, it also plays an important role in the learning process, since it determines whether a system has succeeded in learning or failed.

We propose a conjectural explicit formula of generating series of a new type for Gromov--Witten invariants of $mathbb{P}^1$ of all degrees in full genera.
We construct a sheaf of Fock spaces over the moduli space of elliptic curves E_y with Gamma_1(3)-level structure, arising from geometric quantization of H^1(E_y), and a global section of this Fock sheaf. The global section coincides, near appropriate limit points, with the Gromov-Witten potentials of local P^2 and of the orbifold C^3/mu_3. This proves that the Gromov-Witten potentials of local P^2 are quasi-modular functions for the group Gamma_1(3), as predicted by Aganagic-Bouchard-Klemm, and proves the Crepant Resolution Conjecture for [C^3/mu_3] in all genera.

We introduce a natural nondegeneracy condition for Poisson structures, called holonomicity, which is closely related to the notion of a log symplectic form. Holonomic Poisson manifolds are privileged by the fact that their deformation spaces are as f inite-dimensional as one could ever hope: the corresponding derived deformation complex is a perverse sheaf. We develop some basic structural features of these manifolds, highlighting the role played by the divergence of Hamiltonian vector fields. As an application, we establish the deformation-invariance of certain families of Poisson manifolds defined by Feigin and Odesskii, along with the elliptic algebras that quantize them.

Li-Zingers hyperplane theorem states that the genus one GW-invariants of the quintic threefold is the sum of its reduced genus one GW-invariants and 1/12 multiplies of its genus zero GW-invariants. We apply the Guffin-Sharpe-Wittens theory (GSW theor y) to give an algebro-geometric proof of the hyperplane theorem, including separation of contributions and computation of 1/12.
