We compute couplings between the $rho$-meson and $D$- and $D^ast$-mesons - $D^{(ast)}rho D^{(ast)}$ - that are relevant to phenomenological meson-exchange models used to analyse nucleon-$D$-meson scattering and explore the possibility of exotic charmed nuclei. Our framework is built from elements constrained by Dyson-Schwinger equation studies in QCD, and therefore expresses a consistent, simultaneous description of light- and heavy-quarks and the states they constitute, We find that all interactions, including the three independent $D^{ast} rho ,D^{ast}$ couplings, differ markedly amongst themselves in strength and also in range, as measured by their evolution with $rho$-meson virtuality. As a consequence, it appears that no single coupling strength or parametrization can realistically be employed in the study of interactions between $D^{(ast)}$-mesons and matter.

We revisit the calculation of the strong couplings $D^*Dpi$ and $B^*Bpi$ from the QCD light-cone sum rules using the pion light-cone distribution amplitudes. The accuracy of the correlation function, calculated from the operator product expansion nea r the light-cone, is upgraded by taking into account the gluon radiative corrections to the twist-3 terms. The double spectral density of the correlation function, including the twist-2, 3 terms at ${cal O} (alpha_s)$ and the twist-4 LO terms, is presented in an analytical form for the first time. This form allows us to use vario

Using interpolators with different SU(2)_L times SU(2)_R transformation properties we study the chiral symmetry and spin contents of the rho- and rho-mesons in lattice simulations with dynamical quarks. A ratio of couplings of the $qbargamma^i{tau}q$ and $qbarsigma^{0i}{tau}q$ interpolators to a given meson state at different resolution scales tells one about the degree of chiral symmetry breaking in the meson wave function at these scales. Using a Gaussian gauge invariant smearing of the quark fields in the interpolators, we are able to extract the chiral content of mesons up to the infrared resolution of ~1 fm. In the ground state rho meson the chiral symmetry is strongly broken with comparable contributions of both the (0,1) + (1,0) and (1/2,1/2)_b chiral representations with the former being the leading contribution. In contrast, in the rho meson the degree of chiral symmetry breaking is manifestly smaller and the leading representation is (1/2,1/2)_b. Using a unitary transformation from the chiral basis to the {2S +1}L_J basis, we are able to define and measure the angular momentum content of mesons in the rest frame. This definition is different from the traditional one which uses parton distributions in the infinite momentum frame. The rho meson is practically a 3S_1 state with no obvious trace of a spin crisis. The rho meson has a sizeable contribution of the 3D_1 wave, which implies that the rho meson cannot be considered as a pure radial excitation of the rho meson.
The DDrho form factor is evaluated in a QCD sum rule calculation for both D and rho off-shell mesons. We study the double Borel sum rule for the three point function of two pseudoscalar and one vector meson currents. We find that the momentum depende nce of the form factors is very different if the D or the rho meson is off-shell, but they lead to the same coupling constant in the DDrho vertex. We discuss two different approaches to extract the DDrho coupling constant.
We theoretically investigate a possibility of an $eta ^{prime} d$ bound state and its formation in the $gamma d to eta d$ reaction. First, in the fixed center approximation to the Faddeev equations we obtain an $eta ^{prime} d$ bound state with a bin ding energy of 25 MeV and width of 19 MeV, where we take the $eta ^{prime} N$ interaction with a coupling to the $eta N$ channel from the linear $sigma$ model. Then, in order to investigate the feasibility from an experimental point of view, we calculate the cross section of the $gamma d to eta d$ reaction at the photon energy in the laboratory frame around 1.2 GeV. As a result, we find a clear peak structure with the strength $sim$ 0.2 nb/sr, corresponding to a signal of the $eta ^{prime} d$ bound state in case of backward $eta$ emission. This structure will be prominent because a background contribution coming from single-step $eta$ emission off a bound nucleon is highly suppressed. In addition, the signal can be seen even in case of forward $eta$ emission as a bump or dip, depending on the relative phase between the bound-state formation and the single-step background.
The $DeltaDelta$ dibaryon resonance $d^ast (2380)$ with $(J^P, I)=(3^+, 0)$ is studied theoretically on the basis of the 3-flavor lattice QCD simulation with heavy pion masses ($m_pi =679, 841$ and $1018$ MeV). By using the HAL QCD method, the centra l $Delta$-$Delta$ potential in the ${}^7S_3$ channel is obtained from the lattice data with the lattice spacing $asimeq 0.121$ fm and the lattice size $Lsimeq 3.87$ fm. The resultant potential shows a strong short-range attraction, so that a quasi-bound state corresponding to $d^ast (2380)$ is formed with the binding energy $25$-$40$ MeV below the $DeltaDelta$ threshold for the heavy pion masses. The tensor part of the transition potential from $DeltaDelta$ to $NN$ is also extracted to investigate the coupling strength between the $S$-wave $DeltaDelta$ system with $J^P=3^+$ and the $D$-wave $NN$ system. Although the transition potential is strong at short distances, the decay width of $d^ast (2380)$ to $NN$ in the $D$-wave is kinematically suppressed, which justifies our single-channel analysis at the range of the pion mass explored in this study.
