We present a lattice calculation of the neutron and proton electric dipole moments (EDMs) with $N_f=2+1$ flavors of domain-wall fermions. The neutron and proton EDM form factors are extracted from three-point functions at the next-to-leading order in the $theta$ vacuum of QCD. In this computation, we use pion masses 0.33 and 0.42 GeV and 2.7 fm$^3$ lattices with Iwasaki gauge action and a 0.17 GeV pion and 4.6 fm$^3$ lattice with I-DSDR gauge action, all generated by the RBC and UKQCD collaborations. The all-mode-averaging technique enables an efficient and high statistics calculation. Chiral behavior of lattice EDMs is discussed in the context of baryon chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we also show numerical evidence on relationship of three- and two-point correlation function with local topological distribution.

We evaluate the neutron electric dipole moment $vert vec{d}_Nvert$ using lattice QCD techniques. The gauge configurations analyzed are produced by the European Twisted Mass Collaboration using $N_f{=}2{+}1{+}1$ twisted mass fermions at one value of t he lattice spacing of $a simeq 0.082 {rm fm}$ and a light quark mass corresponding to $m_{pi} simeq 373 {rm MeV}$. Our approach to extract the neutron electric dipole moment is based on the calculation of the $CP$-odd electromagnetic form factor $F_3(Q^2)$ for small values of the vacuum angle $theta$ in the limit of zero Euclidean momentum transfer $Q^2$. The limit $Q^2 to 0$ is realized either by adopting a parameterization of the momentum dependence of $F_3(Q^2)$ and performing a fit, or by employing new position space methods, which involve the elimination of the kinematical momentum factor in front of $F_3(Q^2)$. The computation in the presence of a $CP$-violating term requires the evaluation of the topological charge ${cal Q}$. This is computed by applying the cooling technique and the gradient flow with three different actions, namely the Wilson, the Symanzik tree-level improved and the Iwasaki action. We demonstrate that cooling and gradient flow give equivalent results for the neutron electric dipole moment. Our analysis yields a value of $vert vec{d}_Nvert=0.045(6)(1) bar{theta} e cdot {rm fm}$ for the ensemble with $m_pi=373$ MeV considered.

We present results for the nucleon axial charge g_A at a fixed lattice spacing of 1/a=1.73(3) GeV using 2+1 flavors of domain wall fermions on size 16^3x32 and 24^3x64lattices (L=1.8 and 2.7 fm) with length 16 in the fifth dimension. The length of th e Monte Carlo trajectory at the lightest m_pi is 7360 units, including 900 for thermalization. We find finite volume effects are larger than the pion mass dependence at m_pi= 330 MeV. We also find that g_A exhibits a scaling with the single variable m_pi L which can also be seen in previous two-flavor domain wall and Wilson fermion calculati ons. Using this scaling to eliminate the finite-volume effect, we obtain g_A = 1.20(6)(4) at the physical pion mass, m_pi = 135 MeV, where the first and second errors are statistical and systematic. The observed finite-volume scaling also appears in similar quenched simulations, but disappear when Vge (2.4 fm)^3. We argue this is a dynamical quark effect.
We present results on both the restoration of the spontaneously broken chiral symmetry and the effective restoration of the anomalously broken U(1)_A symmetry in finite temperature QCD at zero chemical potential using lattice QCD. We employ domain wa ll fermions on lattices with fixed temporal extent N_tau = 8 and spatial extent N_sigma = 16 in a temperature range of T = 139 - 195 MeV, corresponding to lattice spacings of a approx 0.12 - 0.18 fm. In these calculations, we include two degenerate light quarks and a strange quark at fixed pion mass m_pi = 200 MeV. The strange quark mass is set near its physical value. We also present results from a second set of finite temperature gauge configurations at the same volume and temporal extent with slightly heavier pion mass. To study chiral symmetry restoration, we calculate the chiral condensate, the disconnected chiral susceptibility, and susceptibilities in several meson channels of different quantum numbers. To study U(1)_A restoration, we calculate spatial correlators in the scalar and pseudo-scalar channels, as well as the corresponding susceptibilities. Furthermore, we also show results for the eigenvalue spectrum of the Dirac operator as a function of temperature, which can be connected to both U(1)_A and chiral symmetry restoration via Banks-Casher relations.
We present the N_f=2+1 clover fermion lattice QCD calculation of the nucleon strangeness form factors. We evaluate disconnected insertions using the Z(4) stochastic method, along with unbiased subtractions from the hopping parameter expansion. We fin d that increasing the number of nucleon sources for each configuration improves the signal significantly. We obtain G_M^s(0) = -0.017(25)(07), where the first error is statistical, and the second is the uncertainties in Q^2 and chiral extrapolations. This is consistent with experimental values, and has an order of magnitude smaller error.
We report on our study of the B to D^(*) ell u semileptonic decays at zero and nonzero recoils in 2+1 flavor QCD. The Mobius domain-wall action is employed for light, charm and bottom quarks at lattice cutoffs 1/a = 2.5 and 3.6 GeV. We take bottom q uark masses up to approx 2.4 times the physical charm mass to control discretization effects. The pion mass is as low as M_pi sim 310 MeV. We present our preliminary results for the relevant form factors and discuss the violation of heavy quark symmetry, which is a recent important isuue on the long-standing tension in the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cb}| between the exclusive and inclusive decays.
